  This version is not as good as the 10th Edition!!!!!!!!

It may be what serious players are looking for since the engine built into it may be strong enough for even the toughest players!!!!!!!!!! I am used to the old fashioned 10th Edition. I guess I prefer the USCC circle on the front of the disc!

  I love it!hehe Sorry for the change of heart. After receiving the official version in the mail, installing it, and admiring everything about it, I realize how precious it is! Thank God, Jesus Christ, for both versions in either case. Well, as it says, it seems this version is geared towards the Grandmasters; However, it still has all the bells and whisles of the previous versions! From beautiful 2D chessboard layouts, 3D almost realistic art pieces, to even cartoon that walks and entertain you, this game is heads and shoulders above the rest. You can even play online or against your friend and chat at the same time if I am not mistaken! If you purchase this software on eBay, you might even be able to get it for around $20. Good for everyone from kids to adult!!!!!!!!!! They have my vote!

  Pros: I really enjoy the versatility of Chessmaster GM edition. Alot of different rated computers to select from. Ratings seem rather accurate as well. Once in a great while the computer will even make bad moves (blunders) even at the high rating.

  Summary: The overall diversity of the program is great. I remember the first Chessmaster programs. So Chessmaster has come a long way. there is a lotof different rated computers to select from. Ratings seem rather accurate as well. Once in a great while the computer will even make bad moves (blunders) even at the high rating. Although higher the rating the less likely the blunder. Even the GM computer style play is fairly accurate as well. (i.e Bobby Fischer as aggressive) I recommend this product, it's worth the price by far, as long as you are into chess quite a bit.

  Summary: Chessmaster is one of the best chess programs ever made. Its franchise is all over dozens of consoles and it's improved every one in a while to make it better and the perfect chess teacher. But!!! This version isn't that different than last's. The instructional part is the same than in CH 10th and the boards... well... aren't very improved also. It has a slighty better GUI than CH 10th and what I see the big enhancement is only in the engine . That's why I see it as a so-so software. So comparing CH 10 & 11 doesn't give me any highlights. Maybe the only good part is the improved Josh's instructional chess but I was hoping for more preanalized chess games.
