Summary: C&C 3 is a great game if your looking for great gameplay and awesome graphics. Runs smoothly on my pc and looks absolutely beautiful. When going on multiplayer though, be ready to be conned by experts who trick you into a 2v2 game where its two brand new players against two veterans. Also, Gamespy tends to lag horrificly when playing 4v4. But other wise, this game is amazing. I have never had so much fun with an RTS as I did this.
Cons: There were a lot of expectations and this was not met!
Summary: 1. The game play is poorly conceived 2. emphasis on graphics at the expense of story line and usabilility 3. multiplayer experience bad... we can't even 'ping' a point ...
Summary: 1. The game play is poorly conceived 2. emphasis on graphics at the expense of story line and usabilility 3. multiplayer experience bad... we can't even 'ping' a point for co-ordination 4. no opening video!!!
Summary: I have been a C&C fan since Red Alert, however, this game just doesn't hold my interest. There is a lot to like about it, but there are too many drawbacks. For one, building silos to continue resource collection is just plain irritating! This facet should have been left out. The play of the game is not intuitive and the thrill of Tanya and Colonel Burton is gone.
It's obvious the designers spent a lot of effort on the look, but that was never a hallmark of Red Alert, yet it was RA that catapulted this series forward.
Replay value: Low.
The bottomline: for $50, this game is collecting dust on my shelf while I play other RTS games.
