Summary: I'm an avid Diablo player and tend to get any game that comes in out like it. This is by far the best game of its type around. Its not a complicated RPG that will take weeks to understand, its a good mix of slasher action, gear collection, simple character development and mini quests to entertain. Throw in excellent graphics run fine on a 4 year old laptop and you have me sold. The story line is interesting but will keep reminding you of lord of the rings... which after playing this game for a week or so i had a desperate need to watch. Which could be considered a pro or a con...
Summary: I had not played the original nor did I know much about part II when it came to dungeon siege. I found it on sale at target for half the price of anywhere else, saw a few reviews, and took a chance on a new game. SOOO glad I did, I love this game. It is not as intensely fasted paced as many of the newer games out there, but who needs that all day every day!! I love that that you can take your time in certain places in order to explore all it has to offer. Its a wonderful world to be a part of with an interesting map and layout. The characters are very individualized and react accordingly. Its just a good game!!
Cons: Often crashed when starting up, at best was slow to start up, when it finally did run it didn't work right.

Summary: It's a mouse driven game, which would be great if I could ever see the mouse cursor. Circling the mouse around the mouse pad would eventually highlight selectable items/menus; so I could eventually select them, but it was all hunting around in the dark and guessing where the cursor was since it was not visible on the screen. It took a lot of digging on Microsoft pages for help; there is an update to download; but even after that and several troubleshooting processes, it still did not work (the few times the game loaded without crashing my system). I've got an HP media center, dual processor, 3.0Ghz, 1G RAM,... everything well above their minimums. I even went beyong their troubleshooting and tried other mice and other mouse drivers to no avail. It seems like it would have been a fun game, but I was not able to experience it.
Summary: This game is good if you want a quick romp, Not on the same level with other games for online play like the new D&D or Guild Wars.. Just way too short, I was hoping for a lot more, wrt the more difficult sets, but they are just a rehash with the creatures beefed up. It now sits on the shelf and collects dust, it was a good week though
