Pros: High quality graphics Good campaign Good mixed role of characters in the game The introduction of improved weapons, and vehicles The environments available to play in The introduction of newer enemies The option to play with an Xbox controller
Cons: Only available on Windows Vista (which is a mediocre OS) Online multi player is a bit slow at times The new controls (such as dual weaponry) is a bit difficult to control on a keyboard and mouse Installing difficulties
Summary: Overall I prefer Halo: Combat Evolved than this (personal opinion!)
One major drawback is the availability of this game on operating systems. Windows Vista is not my favourite operating system ...
Summary: Overall I prefer Halo: Combat Evolved than this (personal opinion!)
One major drawback is the availability of this game on operating systems. Windows Vista is not my favourite operating system and yet I have to have it for this game.
The multi player is rather confusing and hard to control. I found that every time someone entered the game, the game would freeze for a fraction of a second. This became quite irritating after a while. I also don't like the automatic kicking from machine bots (which honestly kind of scare me).
Summary: Abundance of weapons over those in Halo1 is another pro.
Unlike in Halo1 where there were stages when it was so boring and repetitive; going thru similar chambers and halls fighting enemy all by urself; Halo2 is much better. The story moves forward fast and lots of interesting cutscenes made it even better.
For most of the time or at all the crutial times, u have company, marines for MasterChief and covenant for Arbiter.
Halo1 had a 3 party conflict making fights confusing and tactical. Halo2 has 4 parties. But there was never an all party fight. But the 3 party fights in halo2 were great just as in halo1.
Great game. Great cutscenes(specially the one in which MC dives to deliver the Bomb). Awaiting Halo3-PC.
Summary: I don't have a Xbox/ Xbox 360, so I was excited that Halo 2 was coming out for the PC. I had had the original Halo for the PC, but I was getting tired of it. One of the first things I noticed was the price... $50! I hoped that it was worth it... I installed it on my laptop when I got home. My laptop is not a gaming rig, but halo 2 worked on low graphics settings. One of the coolest things in Halo 2 is dual wielding. Being allowed to fire two weapons at a time means double the firepower. The new Brutes and Drones, as well as improved AI, are nice additions to the game. Even though I was running the game on a low graphic setting, I could tell that the game would look good on the high setting. Another cool addition is the Live Gold 1 month(free!)membership. If you have a gaming rig and you are a Halo fan (who doesn't own a Xbox), get this game!!!
