Boring, repetitive and linear.

Pros: The graphics were nice, the city looked interesting. Nice selection of guns, blah blah blah
Cons: I'd have liked to explore the city but I was on this track about the width of a hallway most of the game. Even outside. Maddening and super boring. Wave after inexplicable, unclearable wave of zombies. All I could do was fire into the crowd.
Summary: You can't even raise the weapons' stocks to your cheek to aim. All your firing is done from the hip because, basically, there's nothing to aim at....well.......

Summary: You can't even raise the weapons' stocks to your cheek to aim. All your firing is done from the hip because, basically, there's nothing to aim at....well....you can aim at a tidal wave of zombies but that's about it. You can't even clear an area, really. I walked into a store to pick up two items, cleared it, got one item, left, got mobbed, remembered the other item, returned and triggered a wave of zombies bigger than the last one from out of nowhere. Zombies were just appearing randomly from everywhere and every direction making little sense at all.
This game is more like a party co-op platform game in the sense that it's just a bunch of silly mouse clicking. No stealth, tactics, aiming, legroom, nothing. Just go to the safehouse and shoot everything on the way until you run out of ammo, then switch to a melee weapon and carry on.
Boring. I saw all these inflated ratings and I was really disappointed.

Probably the game I most regret purchasing.

Pros: Runs well on older hardware, and still looks nice. Co-Op can be entertaining for a while.
Cons: Very linear and repetitive. An almost "on-rails" shooter. Replay value is very low. Personally had no desire to play after 2 weeks of owning.

Summary: I bought Left 4 Dead 2 about a month ago, on the recommendation of a friend. I was debating between it and Killing Floor. With one of my biggest consumer buying mistakes, I bought Left 4 Dead 2. I played for a few hours, and have never touched it again. The game offers nothing for you to come back to, except more of the same monotony.

zombie games don't get better than this

Pros: New graphics details, like slicing up zombies revealing spines, bones, and organs. Believable setting and very detailed environments, as well as a LOT of zombie npc's with little to no lag. Perfect zombie game. DLC's to come, added lots to game.
Cons: Same exact formula of old game, slapped on new skins and maps.

Summary: Imagine: You and three friends trapped in a town full of infected citizens, armed with some frying pans and pistols. Slowly inching out of your barricaded base, you venture out to forage for better weapons and supplies. Suddenly, one of your idiotic friends accidentally shoot a car, triggering a blast of noise. A roar echoes throughout the town as infected stream through, seeking the source.
This is just the best zombie game, EVER. Instead of the usual 4 humans vs a couple really strong zombies, this is more about a group of 4 normal beings against an armada of weaker infected, as well as some special infected that spice up gameplay. Botoom lnie: If you have 3 other friends who love playing FPS games, THIS IS A MUST-BUY GAME.
