would look great, if only I could get it to install

Pros: supposed to have great graphics, assuming you can install the bloody game in the first place, lets face it anything this hard to install can't be a good thing.
Cons: Steam, and an cd-rom install program that is about as helpful as concrete waterwings!
Had game for xmas, it just wont install, let along play. I suspect steam to be the source of my problems, installer just crashes with a vague error message

Summary: This one is going back to the shop for a swap, on the grounds that a google search has revealed no way around the crap install program, therefore the game has been released not fit for purpose if I have to rewrite the installation code myself.
Anything that relies on another program being installed, then not only doesn't check its there properly, but also doesn't give you the option of installing it even though its packaged with it on the cd-rom has got to be avoided.
Note to self, please let everyone know not to purchase any steam games for me for birthdays and xmas, unless hell freezes over any time soon

Summary: I will never buy a product using steam again. I started installing this game around noon it had to download an update to the steam program before it started to install the game. It was still updating when I shut the computer off to get some sleep around 10:00PM. I tried to start the game in the morning and started the updates from 0%!! Steam will not let me run the game without the update. This is the only company that has done this to me. I recommend you never buy a steam product.

Pros: Didn't have any problems installing with steam. Although it was "slow" at installing, it did. The game is visually stunning, and it looks like it will be pretty good!

The creatures are pretty hideous so far. For the small price I purchased it for ($9.95), I believe it's well worth the amount.
