  This is one of those games you never knew about, but once you see it, you can't beleive it

  Pros: Once you've learned the system and understand how to locate battles, you'll never experience a fight like this on any other FPS to date, including BF2.

  Cons: The game is like Virtual Crack, you WILL get hooked.

  Summary: This game is quite possibly one of the very best PC games ever created. The game has a learning curve that can appear to be overwelming to newcommers. This is unfortunate because it discourages some people from playing. If actually learn how to play the game, it offers the most rewarding gaming experience available on an FPS game. It is a hybrid of RPG/FPS in an MMO environment. You develop your characters Command Rank & Battle Rank through persistant battle. The game doesn't offer quests or the such that you would find in a traditional RPG, but it offers the character development. W/ battle rank you earn certificates of which you can spend on your gear which defines your characters abilities. You have a choice of Several weapons for Engineer class, Scout Class, Heavy weapons class etc that you create yourself and put under your own favorites list. (As opposed to selecting a pre defined class as in BF2, or TFC). You also get the ability cert yourself in several types of vehicles. The command rank is earned by squad leaders and gives you abilities such as drawing on the map for squad members, orbital strikes and upgrades to your characters appearance. The battles are insane, sometimes including more than 300 people on a huge battlefield at one time w/ tracer rounds flying everywhere, tank's overwelming infantry, and vice versa, giant BFR robots that resemble Robotech mechs and the ED-209 character from Robocop. This game is truely the BEST team oriented FPS game to date and it's in a Massivly Multiplayer Online environment. You should at least try the free trial from www.planetside.com Or go to www.planetsidemovies.com to see some actual footage captured by the average user to see how truly amazing this game really is. It's like Herzog Zwei on the Genesis. One of those games you didn't really hear about, but once you try it it's the best damn game you've ever played.
