Takes all the great things of the genre, then adds some
by Greenink22 on July 3, 2011
Pros: The game is easy to learn, and truly takes the MMORPG genre forward. Starting fully featured with all the stuff you will find in any other game of the genre, Trion Worlds threw in a beautiful class system and an impressive world that is ever changing wit
Cons: The quests are somewhat linear, and the environments are not mind blowing. The quests generally consist of kill X amount of this, collect X amount of these, or kill some bad guy over there. The environments of each area, while different and neat, are no

Summary: The game has plenty of room to grow, improve, and expand from an amazing start. So I do expect to see some 'out of this world' looking areas eventually, and the linear quests are tolerable, especially if you get into the story of each quest. All in all, the game has taken all the best features of MMORPG's, improved them, and then added its own awesome features. Great game, worth getting into.

Easy transition from WOW, even for the casual player
by biffdstiff on June 27, 2011
Pros: Better graphics and easier game play make this an interesting game. The free TRIAL game doesnt seem to have many limitations (other than you can't place items into auction) and I have hit level 14 after playing most of the day Saturday. I did encounter s
Cons: As a casual player, I need a better HINT system. Mainly to help me as I decide if certain loot is worth keeping. The map is decent, but I am lost in it. Not sure where to go, or where I need to be. I wish we had teleporting abilities from the start, ba

WOWs new Twin and then some
by dantheman1983 on April 20, 2011
Pros: Excellent game play, tedious at times doing quests to level up, but overall a fun game. Have not gotten far enough to get into dungeons and raids. The smart phone mobile authenticator is a great security function.
Cons: None at this time
Summary: I am not addicted at this time or overly joyed by this game but it stands among the best. I am waiting for diablo 3, it looks to be the ...

Best of all worlds, it's a polished, finished game!
by lordrcane on March 24, 2011
Pros: All the best things about various games, without the huge downtime for patches that companies like Sony are infamous for. Love the soul tree! We've been posting all the various builds we've seen and liked.
Cons: There isn't too much not to like. The crafting, as mentioned, needs a little more work. But if you read the quests, follow along with your characters actions, the world history is very detailed.

Summary: I have to admit, I have a guildie that works for Trion. But that doesn't make us biased. We got introduced to the game late Q4 2010 and fell in love immediately - so much so we both bought collector's packs and 6 month subscriptions. We've been cataloging our findings and publishing them for our friends under Lord Rcane. You can find us on the Faeblight Shard.
