Awesome Game; Beats GTA:SA
by slimshady911 on March 22, 2006
Pros: its like your part of the movie and the Corleone family, different ways to earn respect
Cons: like gta games you have o go to a safehouse and save; no quicksaves

Summary: This game beats GTA:VC as well as SA and Mafia. I bought this game the day it came out and played it for 7 hours straight; never played any game for this long. I just could not quit the game.
I love the Godfather movies, this game goes through all the events in the movie. The character faces are also very recognizable, they look exactly the same. The graphics are really good as well.
Theres also so many different moves to finish your opponent off and you actually have to build your respect by doing different things. Its not just go-and-shoot kinda game; theres a little bit of strategy involved as well.
Only con was that you had to go to a safehouse and then save, you couldnt just quicksave by going to the Menu.
Other than that this game is awesome and probably one of my all time favs. A must play for all the Godfather Trilogy fans.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Pros: Good graphics, you get to shoot people, good story.
Cons: Waaaaaaaaaaaay too easy.
Summary: Fun to play, way to easy to beat. Buy it used or for less than $30 and you will be happy.

An ok game but not at 69$
by pikachu5501 on April 8, 2006
Pros: You player a ganster / Mobster. Some RPG elements.
Cons: Repetitive, simple, Lack of atmosphere.
Summary: As i just finished the game, i find it OK, Not terific but OK. The control is not THAT hard to learn, remind me of True Crime, street of LA. ...
Summary: As i just finished the game, i find it OK, Not terific but OK. The control is not THAT hard to learn, remind me of True Crime, street of LA. Poor Joystick support.
The town itself where you avatar involve is not as big as GTA SA but a bit smaller than Mafia. The details itelf are bit squarish and lack detail that could make it memorable. All the building inside are exacly the same depend of the type(yes, that's cheap). Just the minimum for an GTA engine.
What about the cars? well, if you are looking for cool old cars like Mafia, you will be disapointed, about 5 "toy looking" models of cars in diferents colors but there are easy to drive. At least the "chases" are not too hard and even fun sometime.
The fight/shooting system are kinda inovative. You can target automaticly an enemy with the right mouse, making easier to kill and the fight system are not bad either if you can figure out the control.
The plot itself dint'n take me in the story as Mafia did. the characters have no personalities and not memorable as Mafia was.
One word: Empty.
Overall, It is an ok game, Not too much efforts as been put in the game that could make it something great. A GTA engine itself it is not enought to make a great game.
By the way, excuse my english, i am french, so

Summary: People comparing this to GTA are way off base. This stinker cant hold a candle to the gta franchise. The worst thing it does is make the greatest city in the world, New York City look like Peoria Illinois. They got the street names right and that's about it. In the beginning it looks like fun until you realise your extorting the same shops over and over and over again. They couldn't come up with 4 or 5 baker characters? Hey why bother right! and while your at it why bother creating multiple interiors just use the same freaking cake / tobacco / restaurant over and over again. Every time I extort a shop its like experiencing deja vous. Look Ill give em NYC has a lot of bakers but come on man NO TWO CAKE SHOPS LOOK EXACTLY ALIKE! Honestly ten years ago this game would have been great but today....... it just stinks. Total waste of money.
