Pretty good, just a couple of cons
by artsart09 on June 21, 2009
Pros: Lots of options to customize the sims, great colors, can customize almost everything, can interact with every sim
Cons: Not as many options on task menu, can't change sim families unless you save and exit game,(which takes a really long time)
Summary: Overall it's pretty good except for the two cons.
A pretty good buy.

A game where you are the god/controller.
by Pete190 on April 25, 2011
Pros: I like that you could Design and build houses, make new paintings for furniture and with TSR (The Sims Resource) you could get new furniture, and make new Furniture. Plus, you could make love connections, hangout, make relationship, and get married.
Cons: I dont like how there is no casinos or other realistic stuff. i would recommend buying or downloading The Sims 3 Ambitions, it enriches the game.

Good graphics and low processor usage
by nicholasaishk on April 14, 2011
Pros: Good graphics
Low use of processor and RAM
Significant improvement from Sims 2
Lots of expansion packs available
Cons: Expansion packs cost $$$ and cannot be used with other Sims games (such as Sims 1 and 2)
Can sometimes glitch out
Can get very repetitive
Use of cheats in game slows it down dramatically
Summary: A great game which uses a surprisingly low amount of PC memory and processor to operate. The game has the occasional glitch and operates very slowly with the use of ...

After a while the game can get very repetitive and ultimately boring to play.

Do yourself a favor and Google your computer's specs (especially the graphics and processor) with "Sims 3" and find out what other people are saying and asking before you buy the game.

Graphics and loading times are much better
by Patten08 on July 17, 2009
Pros: Graphics are much better
Loading times are much faster
Lots of Community Lots to visit
Create a Sims is a lot nicer
More customization
Lots of new features
Love the downloading feature
Cons: Took way to many things out of Sims 2 that should have been in
While it is more customizable it is missing a lot of things
Cannot build a community lot (Possible in a game update)
It is so customizable that it takes much longer to build/create
Summary: While it is missing a lot of things, you can download a lot more things to make it much better of a game. Loading is much faster and graphics are ...

Overall, The game is good, I would recommend buying it, only if you are interested (a.k.a have $50 to spend) or are a Sims fan. I happy that I bought it when it first came out!

Best one so far.
by aya92686 on July 1, 2009
Pros: The many customizable options when you create a character, and build your house. How you can go anywhere in the neighborhood. The new skills, like fishing and gardening. Those are fun. You can purchase vehicles.
Cons: Careers are still the same boring thing. Sure, there's new promotions, and opportunities, but I guess I expected more.

Summary: I still love playing this game like I did all of the others, and spend several hours playing it each time. But it would be even more better if it was online like the old Sims Online. They should release a new one of those. Then it would be nearly perfect.
