There is no support
by grazallian on July 16, 2010
Pros: No response to emails and the phone number always says "the hold queue is full" ***?!
Cons: No one responds to tech/billing support emails and their phone line always says "the hold queue is temporarily full"....I suggest blizzard remove their support page completely from their website...as they offer no support whatsoever....
Summary: THERE IS NO SUPPORT!!!

support or no support is the question.
by Ipswich2 on July 8, 2010
Pros: Nice graphic however the scripting and computer working needs some serious work and it reveals some scriptor have great abilities and other not so much.
Cons: Paying to play the game and receiving support is very bad.

Summary: YES the game itself is fun; however, Blizzard has a repretation for "plaing" a game with their customer for which they have no control over or knowledge. Of course I'm sure they will deny of course. Receiving customer support, tech, and in game support leaves much to be desired. They will log into accounts and mess with character creation and deny it and find serveral other excuses... SUPPORT REALLY LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED!

Great game. Addicting
by markainsworth on March 14, 2010
Pros: Great Graphics; Great entertainment alone or with a group of (possibly new) friends
Cons: Not much. Single player mode got to be kind of same-old after several months. After advancing many levels you need to shell out some dollars to get to the regions reserved for the higher levels, but that takes time.
Summary: I enjoyed this game for several months as a single character. I finally got a little bored, but that may have been due to my lack of skill with my ...
Summary: I enjoyed this game for several months as a single character. I finally got a little bored, but that may have been due to my lack of skill with my character (human mage). It is always fun in a group. Many of the players are kids, so if you are an old person (54)like me you need to be tolerant of occasional petty squabbles among other players, but by and large the other players are what make the game really fun. After a hiatus of a couple of months, I'm going back. It's just too much fun to leave alone for too long.

Terrible game for new players
by Raistmajere on September 27, 2009
Pros: None. I like the genre, but found the game totally lacking
Cons: Both the developers and users all hate one another

Summary: I played for 3 months, didn't have fun at any level. The people are cruel that design/play this game. Early levels expect curses and spitting in an attempt to bully, late game expect to be excluded from activities because you're new. Absolutely terrible and in no way redeeming gaming experience. I would have rated lower given the option.

Too many people=LAG
by jrastamann on January 31, 2009
Pros: averagely fun and addicting game
lots of map space
lots of unique spells/weopans/itemsCons: Takes up a lot of memory
Full of LAGGGG
You have to choose a specific realm, if your friends arent in the same one you cant play with them.
Monthly fee
When your realm is overcrowded, you have to wait time to get in. I waited 6 hours once.Summary: If you want to play a game with tons of lag this is the one! The first time i put the disc in, finished the antagonizing instalation which took forever, ...
Summary: If you want to play a game with tons of lag this is the one! The first time i put the disc in, finished the antagonizing instalation which took forever, including the 10 blizzard updates which took an hour each, i loaded into the realm that my friend plays in. It took 4 hours to get into the reaalm because there were to many people in it at the time.
When i pay 20 bucks for a game, and have to pay 15 bucks each month to play it, i expect to start playing right when i put the disc in. Instead i had to wait 4 hours, and once i started playing, i found its graphics didnt compare to guild wars, and that the average "funness" didnt compare to Diablo 2.
World of warcraft is a universal "famous" game but is not nearly the best. Buy a game like Diablo 2 or Guild wars which are funner, and you DONT HAVE TO PAY A MONTHLY FEE.
I was also dissapointed because i have friends in other realms. Once you make charcters in one realm, they stay in That Realm. This really bugged me then because i had to choose between which of my friends i spent the most time with playing World of Warcraft.
The game itself is cheap. Only 20 dollars coming with a 1 month free card. However when you add up the monthly fee, your pocketbook becomes broke. Suspecting you play the game for 5 years, Which is less then most people, you would be down 1200$ That is one thousand and 200 hundred dollars people! For a mediocre kids game with awful graphics!!!!! i for one am never going to pay a monthly fee for a game ever... (that is unless Diablo 3 has a monthly rate hehe) But seriously if you are buying the game just because of its highly popular name.. You are getting ripped off. -
Perfectly Addicting
by GuitarX457 on December 17, 2008
Pros: Very addicitng, quests range from easy to challenging, storyline is great, grouping makes the game so much better
Cons: Quests can get very long, storyline must be done from the very beginning when WoW started, dead spot for levelling up between level 25 and 32
Summary: My Blizzard days started off with Startcraft a long time ago, and continued from there. When I started into Warcraft series, I was blown away. The graphics, as they were ...
Summary: My Blizzard days started off with Startcraft a long time ago, and continued from there. When I started into Warcraft series, I was blown away. The graphics, as they were from the beginning of the RTS to the new, only got better.
Then WoW was introduced to me. I always wanted to play a game that I could create my very own Hero, his class, his looks everything. Now at the beginning of every game, you will see hundreds of people who all look alike, but as you progress and gain new armors, new accessories such as glasses, helmets, cloaks the works, you create a truly unique character.
The storyline is great as it continues from the very first Warcraft if you have been playing that long. You see old faces and new, hear old names mentioned as well as new, and you see the aftermath of everything that has happened. On the downside, unless you have been playing Warcraft since the DOS days, and been playing WoW from the day it came out, the storyline can be quite pointless if you don't pay attention because alot of the big events are already over.
Quests. In every good RPG you have to have quests, otherwise you won't level or anything. Now if you actually read the quests, you understand that most of them are indicating that all the armies are off fighting in some distant land or something of the sort, so it the entire realm is dependent on the millions of new and lone heroes that are roaming the lands. The downfall? The quests everntually get brutally boring or you will be doing fun in them, then all of sudden your next one leads to a place like Deadmines, where there is no way of doing it alone at the level you are expected to do it. So some areas in the Quests could be fixed up, but in total, it is very addicting.
Teaming up in this game is either a curse or a gift. On the plus side, teaming up with other players adds to the fun of the game. You can get one heck of a good team if you have your power house warrior, a healer, a mage and your paladin (as is my dream team with me and my friends) it makes the game so much more fun. You learn to evenly distribute the earnings and loot. The down side is, you will sometimes end up in a group that does not work together, they will race you to the loot, and they'll just be downright jerks. These are to be expected every now and then, but just remember it next time they want to join a group with you.
Now comes the fun part, the PvE and PvP sections. PvE is fun, the needless and endless slaughter of NPCs is great. The AI is fairly smart when it comes to the Elites and Bosses, but the everyday peons are just fight fight and fight. A few of them run away, and bring back some good friends of theirs, which can exahust you if you're alone. PvP is one of the greatest parts of the game. Alliance vs Horde. The ongoing battle between the Light and Dark. I like PvP because it tests you constantly and allows you to work with other people to conquer the enemy. Playing against a human player is much more difficult and fun. Again there is a downside to this. You will end up with teammates who will think they are so much better than everyone else, and they'll charge in like Achillies just to get slaughtered like a flock of sheep, get mad, and yell at everyone else for nothelping. Ignore these people as there is nothing you can do to make them stop being jerks. Shrug it off, jus shrug it off.
I give this game a full 5 stars as it is the greatest MMORPG that I have ever played, and with the release of Wrath of the Lich King, it can only get better.
Have fun and game on! -
Best game of all times!!!
by cassio.grasselli on May 10, 2007
Pros: Graphics are stunnig; races and classes are great
Cons: Lag. You really need a good internet connection to play this game - or any other MMORPG.
Summary: I have played the warcraft series since the first version. WoW is the best gamer ever, well above any other MMORPG.
