Thunderous bass response! That is what you notice right off with this speaker system. It is a 3 piece (2.1) set utilizing a 5.25" woofer with a long throw voice-coil and tuned port to further enhance the response. The flat panel type satellites with dual 2" super radiators balance the performance for a full audio spectrum response.

Pros: Easy setup, bass can be dialed up and down, subwoofer does a pretty good job handling the bass, trebles are nice and clear, speakers themselves look very nice
Cons: Speakers are not covered, mids are lacking

Summary: For $40ish this is a great buy for listening to your iPod or PC. While the bass is not going to be rattling windows (if that's what you want. I don't) and the mids sound a bit weak, for casual listening this is a very good option.
Pros: Natural sound, not like a sardine can trying to reproduce music; bass level can be adjusted so that it is deep but not boomy like many other computer speakers
Cons: Slightly excessive mid-treble and deficient lower mid-range (voices didn't sound full), but free multi-band equalizer software fixed this

Summary: I got these speakers a week ago, and I'm very impressed with the sound quality for the price. I found the treble a bit excessive around 10-14 kHz and the lower mid-range a bit difficient (male voices sounded a bit "thin") ... but a free graphic equalizer download took care of that! I bought these because I didn't like the sound of ANY other speakers I heard in stores. They all sounded either very boomy, with the so-called "one-note bass" sound, OR like sardine cans trying to reproduce music. (I can't understand why the manufacturers wouldn't even try to make their products sound good as demos. They do want them to sell, right? [head scratching part]) The CA-3602 weren't even set up to listen to at the local store that had them in stock, so I went with the good reviews and bought them, and I am very pleased with the results - for the cost of a dinner-for-one at a decent restaurant! Of course, you wont get bass that you feel in your gut for this price and size of speaker 'cabinet' .... but on the plus side, you wont get continuous booming that causes headaches either! Until other computer speaker manufacturers start making demo displays that sound better, I have to conclude - based on my comparisons with Logitech, Altec Lansing and Bose products - that these are the best computer speakers for up to 3X the price!
Pros: Solid Sound in a small package,Easy to set up,compact, works well as pc sound system and ipod/mp3 listening system.
Cons: Does not serve as a charging system for ipod. Would have liked screen covers over speakers.
Summary: Impressed with the sound given size and cost. (under 40 bucks..nice) If your looking for decent sound that doesn't break the bank, give these speakers a shot.
