Summary: I truly needed a multimedia PC speaker set for my studio apartment. I was tired of running my sound card through my mini-portable stereo system and was not interested in getting replacement speakers that would blast my neighbors away. In short, basically I didn't want to spend more than $40 - $50 bucks either. So I went to the local Fry's Electronics store, over the holidays, and picked up a set for $29.95. The R-20 is a great investment for those who want it good, compact and simple. Good solid bass playback, clear treble and great overall sound despite no separate controls for treble or bass. This product is a must for small dorm rooms and for those who want a decent product & respectable manufacturer, but do not want a giant price tag.

Summary: My experience with pc speakers is pretty basic. My first pair where by Harmon Kardon. They lasted four years and served me well. The second pair were Creative SBS #260's. They were not-so-good; only lasting 9 months before parts were loose inside and one channel died.

The Logitech R-20's are only a few days old, but I am alwready pleased with the sound they deliver. 40hz - 20 khz frequency range. Actually, anyone with a good sound card would be wise to minimize the bass in order to tame the 4" "woofer", which is a tad too bassy. Otherwise I expect that I will be spending many happy hours listening to my favorite tunes...... for the first time, without the missing lower octave. In Canada the R-20's retail for(darn!,can't find the bill!!).. About $50.00. Some of you in the States are finding them at $28.00, which makes them a bargain, compared to the Creative SBS 260's.
I will report again, if I have any issues. (As I am sure that there will be... Everything is made in China, so quality isn't an issue, there isn't any.) If play volume is an issue for you try the following; Start icon, all programs,accessories, entertainment,volume control. Thanks for reading!!
