The good: Logitech's Z-5 PC speakers offer decent sound for a reasonable price; omnidirectional acoustics; USB connectivity obviates need for bulky power adapter; compatible with Mac and Windows PCs; included remote allows you to control playback of music from across the room; auxiliary input for connecting to non-PC audio sources.
The bad: Little light on the bass; no volume control on speakers themselves.
The bottom line: While we weren't blown away by their sound, the Logitech Z-5s' combination of a simple, clean design, USB connectivity, and some basic remote operation make them a decent value in the sub-$100 PC speaker space.

Nice looking. No power connection. USB sound.

Pros: Nice sounding, especially for the price. Minimum cable mess. Nice looking design. Omnidirectional. Remote included.
Cons: Somewhat lacking in bass. Not tons of volume.

There's not an abundance of volume but thats's understandable, and the sound quality is very nice. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Easy USB plug & play. Nice finish.
Cons: NO tech support - remote doesn't work - not a lot of volume improvement over the free speakers that came with my HP desktop PC

Best semi-portable, cheap PC speakers I've heard

Pros: Clear sound and convenience of use through USB plug and in-jack for sound in back.
Cons: Can't unplug and plug in computer, at whim, without activating speakers again through icon.
Summary: For the price of $60, it's a great deal and is much easier to move around due to their 2-piece-only set up. Should get for laptops.

easy to use, great sound, and sleek design

Pros: The design is what really sold me on the product. I also got a very good deal because Best Buy had them on sale. They have very good sound and are loud. can turn speakers off by using "quick launch" buttons on HP laptop.
Cons: No volume control on the speaker itself. remote "music note" button only works with iTunes, windows media player, or one other option which you can select. I wish there was a way to make all sound go through the z-5 speakers.
Summary: very good for the price. remote is very cool. small with great sound so they do not take up much room at all.
