The Philips SensoTouch 3D 1290X is a mid to high cost mens electric shaver. The main feature of this shaver that Philips promotes, as with the entire SensoTouch 3D line of mens shavers, is the heads. The GyroFlex 3D heads of this shaver follow every contour of your face, which makes for a close shave. These heads are also equipped with the UltraTrack technology, which ensures they will shave every hair within a few strokes. This is because of the three seperate tracks for normal, long and short hair. The dual blade system of these heads is designed to lift the hair up, so that you can shave without irritation or skin cuts (this is what Philips calls their Patented Lift & Cut Action). The 1290X can be used wet (with shaving gel or foam) or dry. This shaver is a step up from the 1280XCC in that it has a touchscreen display and full metal frame, but it lacks the 1280XCCs Jet Clean ...
