  Summary: I am an older playstation game player. Before I talk about Myst III Exile, let me make a comparison. One of my all time favs is Eco - a little unheard of true 3D search and find game with great graphics, sound, and storyline. I wish Myst III Exile could have been a true 3D game like Eco; however, it is a frame by frame movement style (which is typical for Myst for PC games), but in this playstation version the programmers decided to offer 360 degree viewing at each frame location. I found this to be ok as I was used to the PC game and it worked fairly well except for Edanna, the plant world, where it was difficult to tell where I was at some of the time. There's the cons. Now the pros. Myst Exile has a great story line, graphics, and sound - I wish other playstation games could have sound quality like Myst Exile. Not knowing much about programming, perhaps the awesome graphics in Myst Exile were made available BECAUSE of the frame by frame player progress. Now keep in mind I like search and find/solve problem games - if you are into this then Myst III Exile is a MUST for you. Try the game without any helps including the the booklet. It is easy to get engrossed in Myst III as the various worlds are inviting and intriguing. Hats off to the programmers of this game - they did a wonderful job! And for the low cost for the PS2 version, I say give it a try.
