Fun, immersive, addictive (Minor spoilers)

Summary: I'm not a hard-core gamer. I am, if fact, not all that terrific at platformers. I love them, but I've only finished THREE of them in my entire life (Destroy All Humans, Mario 64, and Rayman 2).
I don't enjoy games that are super difficult as I usually get stuck (i.e. Metroid Prime and that room with the acid and the huge bugs) and give up after a couple HOURS trying to get past one hard spot. So I LOVE this game (I'm only about 1/2 way through it at this point).
The game has a capricious side, allowing you endless redo's in some cases (like with the point where Linda's rolling the bubble) and other times when it kills you off very quickly (the battle in the Lungfish capital comes to mind). But it is never boring, seeing as how you are constantly changing venues and those venues are as different as night and tangerine.
The underlying psychology of the game is fairly silly, but the dark themes (including the death by fire of children) make this game verboten for little ones who might be intrigued by all the bright colors and interesting-looking characters. It will depend on the child, but I don't think it would be appropriate for kids under 12. (The T for Teen rating seems appropriate here.)
All in all a well done game that avoids many of the problems of platformers (LOVE the underground rail system). Some will hate the fact it isn't terribly difficult, but for those of us who are platform fans with limited skills, this is a great little game. Check it out!
