Kratos at his best in brutality

Summary: I just got my copy yesterday after work and i haven't progressed to far but so far its great. I played all the previous series and the attention to detail on this one is really good. I highly recommend it. Kratos is an absolute beast and you can feel it in the game play more than ever before.

Overall amazing game!

Pros: - The game play movements are great
- Graphics amazing
- Music wow!
- The violence is quite entertaining
- The puzzles are fun
Cons: - Way too short, takes approx. 10 hours to beat.. I was crushed to see that it was over so soon!
- Although the puzzIes are fun, they are less challenging than GOW II

Overall - 75% fun, 25% frustrating!

Pros: The game does a pretty good job of giving the feeling of something epic taking place - especially when Kratos is outside. When riding on one of the titans, the graphics are pretty damn awesome.
Cons: Why does Kratos die when he falls in, what appears to be fresh water, that also appears to be just 50 feel below. In Dante's Inferno (a game I like more that GOW III) all liquids are either poison, evil, possessed, or lava - then death makes scense.

Summary: It's OK, but not quite worth all the hype. I'm playing it, and I'll finish it, but I can't help but compare it to Dante's Inferno. The basic story, foundation, quality of gameplay of Dante's Inferno keeps me, a staunch FPS player, entertained. In fact, I've read most of the actual text of Dante's Inferno in the game extras. So I played a great game and have almost finished a great piece of literature. With GOD III, I'm not compelled to read up on greek mythology.
The "making of" movie clips for both games affected how I feel about the games. I liked the way the Dante's Inferno developers chose to spotlight certain people involved in the production, certain aspects of the game, and how the people felt about the orginal story. What I didn't see is the background drama, or the various personality conflicts. GOW III gives you insights into the flawed characters of some of the past and current GOW "employees" that I, as the game playing consumer, don't need to see.
On a side note, I view these games using a Samsung P410 LED Projector, so I'm used to seem them huge on my wall. Dante's Inferno makes me feel immersed in the action (and I equally enjoyed the cut scenes and animations), but with GOW III...I don't know...it's just OK.
But like I said, I'll finish it. I'm about 3/4 into it, but I'm still hoping for the best.
