Pros: Good gameplay with improved tackles. New key players. Reading defenses is easy.
Cons: FUMBLES, you will average around 2 - 4 fumbles a game. Graphics, Announcers, "Player Talk", Stupid cheezy graphics
Summary: Overall game play with this game is good. The tackling is very realistic, which adds to the smoothness of the game. Lots of big REALISTIC hits, especially on blind receivers...

I find reading defenses very easy in this game, and finding the open receiver is easier then past maddens.
The fumbling in this game is absolutely ridiculous. My running back should not be fumbling 3 times a game. Even if you protect ball there is a high chance of fumbling.
Graphics are alright, but not comparable to games like NBA 2k7. I expected more with the ps3. Game chops every once in a while after a play, but nothing to affect game play. I personally can not tell that it's 30 fps, however I have not played on a xbox 360's 60 fps.
Announcer is just another boring announcer. Madden is not in the game.
The "Player Talk", or the chat of players on the field during the game is cool at first, however gets very annoying. All the players chanting and smack talking gets very annoying, however you can turn this off in options.
The menus are a joke. The try to make the game so high tech they add all these stupid images and it is very hard to manage through the menus. This isn't a big deal, once you get used to it, just have to ignore it.
Overall this is a good game and I would say worth to buy if you are a football fan. Even though the graphics are sub par, the game play is still smooth with the new hitting. I have not played online yet, however I have heard the online play is very slow.
Summary: I'm not the hugest madden fan as I feel off the wagon after 02, but i felt now was the time to get back on and back in the saddle. Well if your a person like me, then you are gonna struggle at this game for a little while. It seems like they have gotten so more sophisticated every year with this game that I almost feel i need to call an NFL coach to make sense of the plays and defenses. It used to be that you could just pick the game up and run with it if you just knew a little something about football, nowadays you gotta be a college equivalent football player or better to understand what you should be calling. This isn't exactly a bad thing as the game gets more realistic every year, but for the fun factor it makes it difficult atleast until you get good at it. My buddy routinely destroys me at my own game as he is a madden freak and has played it religiously the last few years unlike myself. What ever happened to just pressing a button and completing a pass? If you throw a bullet when you should've lobbed, picked off. Throw to a receiver before or after the right time in his route, picked off. But i say all this cause it happens to me and rarely him, therefore I'm sure it's me and not the game. Outside of being highly challenging, i think this is definitely a cool game and worth the money.
Summary: This game sucks on PS3. I can't wait for EA's contract with the NFL to be up, so they can get some competition. I really hope football fans ...
Summary: This game sucks on PS3. I can't wait for EA's contract with the NFL to be up, so they can get some competition. I really hope football fans aren't stupid enough to buy this game simply because it's the only NFL game out there. I will not buy this version of Madden. I'm not even going to rent it a second time. Hopefully next year, we'll see some effort put into the game.
