Pros: Great sound, gameplay and graphics. The new online Autolog feature is great. Each car feels real as it drives like a real one. Great drifting is provided in the game which makes it double the fun.
Cons: We can't customise cars.
Summary: It is an awesome game for all driving or racing fans. Even people who do not like racing will be wanting to play it everyday. Go for it and you ...

Pros: Hot Pursuit Mode is fantastic.
Excellent integration for online play.
Graphics and surround sound are perfect.
Cons: Career mode is simply a list of To-Do's with nothing where the user can choose a unique direction.
Cutscenes are overdone and interrupt the fast-paced gameplay.
There is no point to Freeroam mode.
Zero car customization options - Boo!

Summary: Honestly I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed with this game. Don't get me wrong, it is a fantastic game and any fan of the series should play the thing. I just don't feel it is worthy of the NFS franchise. This was the perfect opportunity to reinvent and bring NFS back to the top. My opinion, it falls short. The best NFS game was Most Wanted and this installment does bring back and enhances the cop vs racer gameplay which is a whole lot of fun. For me, I'm missing the non-linear opportunity to complete the game and missing the presence of the cops in freeroam. One of the fun things about Most Wanted was cruising around the entire map and eventually getting chased by the police.
I wish we had the option to turn off the cutscenes. This really interrupts the pace of any race. Personally I would turn it off and leave it off. Unless, of course, we could actually see the driver getting thrown from the car, airbags activating, etc.
Autolog is an interesting development for anyone who is a social networking junkie. The FB inspired 'wall' is goofy. Seriously, this instance and others I've seen really need to just give up re-inventing the wheel and make a link to Facebook pages. Maybe it's an EA thing, I dunno.
The cars...excellent selection and gorgeous automobiles. My gripes here are not having cutomization and what is up with the Gran Turismo-style introduction when picking out a car? I really don't care about the dude who designed the latest Lambo, tell me the specs not the history. Still tho, excellent selection of cars.
All that being said, this installment is a gorgeous game. The graphics are spot on. Couple places in the world could be polished up but really, who is driving around looking at the scenery? Hot Pursuit mode is fantastic fun. I would call this a nice first installment by Criterion, in the future I hope they pull in more of the elements that have made previous versions of NFS exciting and fun to play.
Pros: Love that NFS has taken it back to the street. Hot Pursuit allows you to be the outlaw or the cop. Both are fun and challanging with incredible cars to choose form. online play has been seemless with the normal number of jerks who play just crash you
Cons: The only thing I can call a con would be the lack of modifications for the cars. There are none. But the game is so great and the choice of cars amazing that I wouldn't want to spend time tuning cars when I could be racing...
Summary: If you like to race on the open road this is the one. If you have to be on a closed track go with sometning else
