  Inaccurate Replica of SOCOM

  Pros: Captures the basic online experience of the SOCOM series. Robust community features. Gorgeously rendered maps and environments. Physics modeling done reasonably well (not sure how they missed sniper rifles not penetrating through a wooden box).

  Cons: Playstation Network and Slant Six servers were not ready for release leading to disruptive gaming experience. No single player capability. Only seven maps with initial release, while we all know we will inevitably be charge $9.99 for new ones

  Summary: Confrontation captures the basic feel for playing the previous SOCOM series games, but doesn't feel like it completely belongs to that legacy. The initial network issues have absolutely crushed the player experience and placed the game's reputation in a position where it has turned off people new to the series and may not recover.
  
  The exclusion of the single player missions was a major omission by the developer. The single player missions allowed new players the opportunity to learn the games controls and nuances. Now someone new to the game should be ready to jump in and get owned while getting the hang of it. Also surprised that given the opportunity the developers have not included a Co-op mission features a la Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
  
  It doesn't feel rushed exactly, but it doesn't feel like Slant Six put their best foot forward, either. There were a lot of sacrifices that were made which will limit this game in comparison to previous games in the series. The legacy is diminishing.

  One of the best 3rd person shooters out there.

  Pros: Has improve tremendously since its launch.Slant Six continue improve and fix problems brought to their attention in a timely manner. Would recommend it to anyone that loves tactical shooters that requires some thought rather than running and gunning.

  Cons: When first launched the game did have some issues which turned a lot of people off, that now will not give the game another chance and just insist on posting on the forums how terrible it is.The only other con is that at times it has some lag issues.

  Summary: I play this game for hours everyday, it is by far the best shooter out there. I say that because I only enjoy the more realistic shooters. (not much on shooting aliens or zombies) so some of the other titles such as Resistance and Killzone are not my style of game. So if you are looking for a realistic tactical shooter that requires extensive team work in order to be consistently successful this is the game for you.
