Summary: I just got this game and have only played for an hour. My first review of this game is that the controls are hard to learn, there is a tone of action going on at one time. I would defenatly sugest it for any one out there that likes action games, but if you are look ing for a first person shooter experiance this is the wrong game for you.

Worst physics ever programmed.

Pros: Easy to play.
Cons: Physics are a joke! A plane flies head on into a tank and it knocks the tank over and keeps on flying? A plane takes an RPG to the wing but doesn't blow up? Jeeps go over bumps and literally bounce like the tires are made of silly putty.

Summary: Fast paced, action with no room left for rest. This is a brutal game that has stood the test of time and still drags over 25,000 people a day average, and is over 2 years old. 16 vs 16 on huge maps with vehicles that defy normal physics and smash through the battlefield at a pace unattainable by other games. B-e-a-utiful cloud and water effects rendering and one of the best communities on the PS3. People have said this game was gonna die out after CoD4, BC1, Uncharted 2, CoD5, MW2, Bad Company 2, and is still pulling masses of dedicated players and new players alike. Only thing that could possibly out-do this game is a sequal...which isn't likely too happen for a good while.

You can right away tell that the budget and quality which went into this game is uncomparable to those of Cod4 or bf2...
its probably ok young kids... 11 - 15.. but if you dont have to, skip this game... pay a little more and get cod4 or wait until battlfield bad company comes out...
i am also very disapointed that ps3 hasnt brough over battlefield 2 as the xbox360 has it... that is the most amazing game ever created... even better than cod4... -

When you first start playing, expect die, A LOT. Once you learn the game, it is fun. Set people up with mines, blow them up with a tank or take to the air. No regrets buying this game.

Summary: Thirty seconds into your first combat in this game and you will understand why this game is so addicting. There is really no music to speak of, but the sound of the Warhawks flying overhead and the explosions and gunshots around you and off in the distance puts you right in the middle of what feels like a real war.
All of the weapons take some practice to learn how to use (especially the vehicles), but once you get effective, the game becomes an all night experience. -

Summary: This is the best online war/shooter game i've played since the original socom 2 on ps2. The graphics and sounds are great and the fact that you and a friend can both play together online is a first for a war style game. The only negative is that you can only host certain amounts of players, based on your connectivity and service, i.e I can only host 4 player game, which is almost pointless unless i get 3 other friends to play.

Summary: I've honestly been down and out for a few weeks knowing that I own a PS3 and Halo 3 will soon be out. Whether you're a Sony person or a Microsoft person, everyone loves the Halo Series. Well, let me tell you that Warhawk is the cure for the blues. I was a bit skeptical at first when I heard that there's only online play. I was also a bit closed minded thinking the game revolved around flying and the Warhawk itself. You can fight on foot, in a jeep, in a tank, or in a warhawk. You can even man a surface-to-air missile site or an anti-aircraft gun. The weapons available are immense. You spawn with a knife, a pistol, and two grenades (close hand to hand combat with the knife is lethal by the way). Along the way you can pick up a machine gun, a flame thrower, shoulder fired rockets, a sniper rifle, more grenades, these lethal binoculars that send a green laser beam that packs one heck of an explosion. There's even my favorite, the land mines. They're pretty stealthy and in the heat of the battle will sneak up on most anyone. I think they're great because even if you die and you're in the process of respawning, you get a nice green message at the top of the screen that you killed so and so because they walked into the land mine you set. I have really enjoyed playing Resistance, Call of Duty 3, and Rainbow Six, but I have never fallen in love with a game the way I have Warhawk. It is so hard to put the controller down once you start playing. Get this game and you'll be addicted too!

Great Game for PS3 owners!

Pros: Graphics up to 1080i (if you have 1080i/p HD tv), no lag, headset compatible, sensitivity of controller is adjustable, choice whether to use sixaxis sensitivity, future downloads available.
Cons: All multiplayer play, hard controls to get used to, 5 maps, only 3rd person, need internet connection with adequate speeds.

Summary: You may only be able to play online, but playing online is not the only thing you can do. You can also go online, lock your map, then VALA! You just made it so you can only play with your siblings or friends without any random person strolling right into your battle. You can throw some squad markings onto your guy that you choose, you can design the "squad markings" that goes on your person and plane. There is also a cool ranking feature where you unlock more possibilities to design your person with.
4-player offline
32-player online
Beautiful levels, although there are only 5 levels, each are VERY large (able to support 32 players each easily. For example, the clouds are no longer random white specks you see in the sky. You can fly straight through them with you warhawk (plane), and it'll seem/look just like your in a real plane flying through a cloud (for those who have actually flown in reality).
I also said the controls were hard to get used to, they are but after say 2-4 hours worth of play you will begin to master the controls. (I made it so my controls aren't "inverted", if you do this it may ease the mastering.)
Again, with the maps, you may be asking why only 5 maps?
There will be downloads available throughout 2008 according to SCEA (creators).
I gave it a nine because this was the game that i was definitely waiting for, just what i was looking for!
For others, this may not be the correct choice, like if you have an EXTREMELY short attention span or if you hate 3rd person shooting. If you are interested in 1st person shooting then i would recommend Call of Duty 3 or the soon-launching Call of Duty 4.Updated
on 1 ps3, 4 people can all play ONLINE, with just 1 ps3.Updated
