At first glance, this product looks like it could break even though it looks cool in black. However, I did some test like scratching the work surface area over and over. I did notice visible scratch marks but was easily removed by just rubbing it off with my hand or cloth. I recommend that you bring a bag for this tablet and its accessories because you are going to likely lose those parts. There is no longer attachable parts like the protective case and its pen compartment; so you basically need to put everything in one bag and hope you don't lose any of it. The rough textured is well, rough but it gives more control to the pen when doing line art. I suggest that you lower the firmness in the prefence since you will not be needing that option because of this new texture feel. It is an okay but cool-looking product and is very light to carry around, but for those who are not gentle at working on tablets like coloring or scribbling, should not get this product. I'm not sure how durable this product is because the suspicion on its building materials. It comes with decent softwares for new users like Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Corel 3 Painter's Essentials. If you like more control then get this. This new model is practically cheaper than the Graphire 4 small model by $20.

Personally after it was bought and tested, I would still keep it myself. Read more

This is a great tablet- I was concerned about the size at first, But you really don't need a super huge tablet to get your work done on this! I'm using it to draw in flash, and touch up photos. It is the perfect size for my 17" laptop.

With a larger pad you have to move your hand farther to draw a line across the page than with this one. Its perfect, and the resolution is excellent. Every flair and twirl that i do, it is recogized perfectly with this pad.

Love the touch sensitive zoom function and the hotkeys, very nice touches and they work great!

My only gripe since I am a moblie user is that the pen does not attach to the surface when it is in transport making loosing the pen easier. As well as the pen is quite small for my hands making working with the tablet all day a painful task. The buttons are small and could be a little larger and better positioned. I really would like a fatter pen for my large hands but no other pens are avaliable for this unit.

Have no use for the mouse and haven't even taken it out of the box since it doesn't have all the features of my bluetooth mouse that I already have.

For the price, this is a steal for anyone working on photos, CAD, or any drawing program. You will never use the mouse again after using this.

I was debating on wheather to get the Bamboo large, or the Bamboo small, and eventually decided on getting the smaller one.

There's not much difference - it is possible to get the same action out of the bamboo small than the large one.

The quality is great, as you can use the pad not only to draw or sketch with, but also as "mouse", which it comes with, or you can drag the mouse button with the pen.

It takes some time to get used to, but is really reliable after a while.

The product was great, in that the packaging was neat and professional, and that it came with extra material that I found very useful.

The photoshop cd made the product a "must have" in that photoshop is generally really expensive in itself.

As bamboo is one of the leaders of the affordable "pen-tablet" movement, I would recommend buying one. Read more
