I love these speakers

Pros: These speakers are small and very portable, they can be used with any device that has a standard 3.5mm head phone jack.

Cons: The video review talked about the cords being a problem, I agree but thats the only negative thing you can find wrong with these speakers which in my book is not a huge deal.

Summary: I would defiantly recommend these speakers because of their portable, rechargeable, and they have a great sound to them. I personally use these with my android phone for catching up with podcast while working out or taking a shower. A definite great buy!!!!

Great for a mobile sales-force!

Pros: Compact size, carry case, ease of use, okay sound for music, totally adequate sound for presentation videos and sound effects.

Cons: Magnets (be careful around everything from credit cards to mobile phones to computers), bass is a little hollow, cord is a little cumbersome.

Summary: From my perspective, that of "are these a good investment for a mobile sales-force?", at less than $50, the iHome IHM79 speakers are a winner. Okay, so the sound isn't UNBELIEVABLE, but for these little "pocket sized" speakers, the results are more than adequate. I was easily able to transfer these from a laptop, to an iPad, to an iPhone in seconds. I have not tested the battery life, but for short presentations, iPhone/iPad connections will be a non-issue. For longer presentations, using the included USB charger will keep them fully charged while attached to a laptop. The best part is, they fit nice and neatly in a computer bag or even a pocket if necessary. Find them online at Amazon.com or at your local Target store.

Great sound, terrible build quality.

Pros: Fabulous sound.

Cons: The connection using the y-cable is abysmal. Within the first week only one side of the cable would connect without causing a hissing sound from the speaker. The problem lies in the build quality of the cable jack point in each speaker.

Perfectly fulfilled my need.

Pros: Long battery life, good audio, very portable, charging cable is attached so you'll never lose it

Cons: Magnetic bases are useful but scare me in terms of putting my iPhone too close and possibly damaging the screen

The magnetic bases do scare me and would prefer that they not be, but I just make sure to be careful.

I paid $49.99, which is retail. Considering the product they are modeled after costs $25 I feel I it's "fairly" priced for the market (and lithium battery, which lasts a long time) but still overpriced as almost all electronics are.

You will not be disappointed in them if you understand the limitations inherent in portable speakers such as this. Highly recommended, especially if you can get them on sale.
