  Cons: Does not have a remote included with some units. I was informed by iHome that you would need to buy directly from their website to purchase a unit that has the internal receiver built in to receive the radio/infrared signal of the the $20 remote accessory

  Summary: It is a great product, but hearing that not all products were created equal really dampened my spirits about its capabilities. My unit does not have remote capability. Sound with SRS is almost Bose like (especially for the small footprint). Why the units sold at retail outlets aren't the same as the ones sold from their website baffles me.

  Not compatible with iPhone 4 running 4.2.6 iOs

  Summary: The iHome speaker system works, however whenever I connect the phone all notification sounds and selections become non-functional. I have to power off the phone to re-initialize notification sounds. iHome support says Apple needs to fix the compatibility problem, that it is not a problem with the iHome but with the phone firmware. I find it strange that a phone has to make itself compatible with accessories rather than accessories being responsible to work with a phone.
