The good: Logitech's Pure-Fi Express Plus is a simple--and affordable--iPod speaker system that features a built-in clock (with alarm) and a battery-power mode. Also, the speakers are omnidirectional and the GSM-shielded iPod dock allows the iPhone to be used without the need to switch it to airplane mode.
The bad: No AM/FM radio; no built-in rechargeable battery; distorts at higher volumes.
The bottom line: Logitech's relatively inexpensive Pure-Fi Express Plus is a compact--and portable--iPod/iPhone speaker system with a built-in alarm clock that's fine for casual listening at home or on the road.

by ojsakila on July 17, 2011
Pros: appears sturdy build. Sleek design. Good bass response
Cons: Poor sound. Highs are muffled. Clock wont play songs from your device as an alarm wakeup...you get the stupid beeping..! Not quite loud engough for me.
Summary: Not a terrible device. Sound just doesnt cut it for me. And whats up with no music as an alarm? For $80 bucks I HAVE to return it.

Complete piece of junk!
by ccollins10600 on September 22, 2010
Pros: Aesthetically pleasing. Good size for my office.
Cons: It stopped working after two weeks. The sound cut in and out, and eventually it just stopped producing sound entirely.
Summary: After two weeks of using the product on weekdays only, for a few hours each of those days, it simply would not play. I tried the ol' standby, resetting my ...
Summary: After two weeks of using the product on weekdays only, for a few hours each of those days, it simply would not play. I tried the ol' standby, resetting my iPod, unplugging the device, turning it on and off, and finally just allowed the thing to "warm up" for five minutes. The "warm up" routine stopped working after about two more weeks, and now it takes 15 minutes to warm up to the point of playing ten seconds of a song, cutting out for ten seconds, and then playing ten seconds again. Completely infuriating. Do NOT purchase this product.

i love it!
by 1rustsleeps2 on October 12, 2009
Pros: Of course there are better sounding ipod speaker systems. But, for less than $100.00 this one meets all my needs.
1. It's portable and recharges my ipod
2. It fills the room with crisp sound.
3. Loud enough to fill most rooms.Cons: No radio. However, if you own an itouch you can get radio apps that allow you to listen to almost any radio station in the world.
Summary: I bought 2 other systems in this price range (sony and accoustic research) and returned them because I was unhappy with the sound. If you want to spend less than $...
Summary: I bought 2 other systems in this price range (sony and accoustic research) and returned them because I was unhappy with the sound. If you want to spend less than $100.00 this is the system for you.
However, if you want more bass or a louder system you may want to spend a little more cash and buy the bose. -
Nice Try Guys
by dryiceman02 on August 13, 2009
Pros: This product looks good and sounds good at first. Having a remote is a plus!
Cons: Volume isn't loud enough. Annoying humming from speakers if Ipod is off but alarm clock is set.
Summary: It doesn't hold up to my abuse. My first one I used in the garage and the speakers became distorted after a few uses. Logitech sent me a new ...

Poor device and even worse CNET review
by mlt1980 on December 18, 2008
Pros: I like the look of the device. Its actually the simplicity that drew me towards it in the first place.
Cons: The only reason I would ever get an alarm clock iPod radio is so I can wake to music. This device fails to even do that. Instead, you get an annoying beep.
Summary: If you are looking for a device that plays your iPod over speakers, you can get this. There are plenty other better models out there. If you are looking for ...
Summary: If you are looking for a device that plays your iPod over speakers, you can get this. There are plenty other better models out there. If you are looking for a system that allows you to wake to your music, don't buy this one. On the other hand, if you like annoying beeps and three buttons, this might be the one for you.
The CNET video has several false claims: it only has ONE alarm, and that alarm does NOT allow you to play your tunes. -
Flaw in design
by hotmail123 on November 6, 2008
Pros: Another stand for putting your ipod
Cons: Instead of having "widescreen" (e.g. video or photo) by putting the iTouch or Nano "sideway", they stand the ipods tall but narrow.
Summary: Now a day, most videos & photos are in widescreen format. However, for some reasons, all ipod stands are designed to stand the ipods tall but narrow....this one is ...
