  Summary: It is easily the best gadget I have ever bought. EASILY! Ive had it for three months now and I use it all the time. Going to bed I put it on the night stand and watch a movie or listen to music, I watch it while in the car (when not driving of course), and have used it to show of my Architecture work (Renderings, animations)! Converting video files is simple and before you know it you can have a full movie library in the palm of your hands!

  Summary: It needs to have a screen like the psp where you can look at any angle. Because of this thing you have to look at one angle. But other than that you can hook it up to the tv. It has a remote/everything...this will be too long for me to type..but ok. When I first recieved it in the mail today when I saw it, I was like oh my god this is huge. I did not know it was going to be that big. They werent kidding when they said "It cannot fit in your pocket". They were right. I wish I would have gotten the 100gb model but the 40gb right now I have 19 dvd ripped movies on there. 197 music videos. 273 mp3's. 433 Photos. And I have 0.7gb left. -_-. So..yeah..I paid $500.00 including 2 day shipment on eBay. It was a good deal. But I will most defintly buy a seperate mp3 player. This is way too big to be a carry on mp3 player. And the recording features are good. And the resolution that everyone is talking about...is not bad, unless you encode it wrong. Just use Windows Media Player 10 "Sync Mode" or VirtualDub - easiest software ever. I am converting 212 music videos right now. Its easy. I recommend this for watching videos and storage only!! I will have to leave another review after the games come out .

  I Have Found The Answer To The Video Quality Problem!

  Pros: Awesome 7 inch screen, great resolution quality, amazing hard drive sizes, beautiful built in speakers, and really good customer support.

  Cons: Little big (but what do you expect with a 7 inch screen), no memory slots, and a little pricey (but worth it).

  Summary: Thought the rest of these reviews say a lot of mediocre things about the AV700, I’m here to straighten things out. First off, the customer service isn't bad at all. I went to their site, got the US phone #, and called. My call was answered in about 5 minutes, by a great guy, who was very helpful. I asked about the video quality, and why it wasn't that good. What people haven’t figured out is that there is a way to change it. Here it is.
  
  Go to video quarter - got to settings - click set up action icon - it gives you a list of parameters - here are the things to change
  
  1. For TV Quality - change bit rate to 1500
  For DVD Quality - change bit rate to 2000
  
  2. If you are planning on using the built in
  screen the most set to LCD
  If you are planning on using it on an
  external TV the most set to TV
  
  3. Record with S-video cord
  
  4. To up the sound quality change to 48
  
  * Obviously this will give you less overall video time, but I think it is worth it for the quality. I also recommend getting the 100 gb, if you can afford it, if making these changes.
  
  And that’s it. Hope this helps everyone’s trouble, and that it clears up some stuff.

If you use Slysoft ClonedvdMobile it has an option to convert at a high pixel rate and the grainyness goes away. The picture looks like a superb Digital Movie. I have no problems with mine....

  Brilliant product!!!!!!

My only real problem is that it doesnt play many formats so you almost always need to convert which takes a long time (but I do believe all pvp has this problem). Also I would not recommend this for people who want a portable music player, it's just too big. Hope this helps.
