  Continuing in the Coby tradition of inferior JUNK!!!!

  Pros: On loss of my IPOD, the price seemed a good buy. Seemed to fit the shoes of my 4 gig, Since solid state memory, should not be subject to hard drive crashes, charges and synchs through usb, no i-tunes needed. No bells and whistles VERY basic

  Cons: Like anything Coby, useability didn't last long. You spend the first $6 to send to Warranty then $6 money (no check, no card) order to process and mail back. .This unit headphone jack contacts broke. Please note entire review details below

  Summary: 90% of mp3 player use was in car wired into head unit aux jack. The firmware would not randomize play order but go to same first song loaded. While you might get it to play from the last song played sometimes, you may never get to hear later loaded tunes. Powering up started by a simple two position "slide switch". This worked very inconsistantlyoften causing distraction from driving to watch for results. Other controls set menu, utilities, and most importantly, system reset! Playing controls resemble the IPOD jog wheel but are just a four way contact (top, bot, sides) switch and center button. Sound quality, though didital, was not up to others I used in clarity. Lack of features that spoiled me with my ipod are understandable at the price point (cheap!!!~!!) are not expected. mechanical failure in under ninety days and a g"get lost" warranty policy are not. I shoula known better.
