The good: The Iriver Spinn offers a unique, innovative design with a high-quality build. The touch-sensitive display is bright, responsive, and relatively large. The interface is customizable, and the player is packed with desirable features such as built-in Bluetooth, photo and video playback, voice recording, and an FM tuner. A large variety of audio codecs are supported, and there are plentiful sound enhancement options.
The bad: The Iriver Spinn is expensive, and yet it lacks some of the advanced features expected in the price range, such as integrated Wi-Fi or an SD card expansion slot. It maxes out at 8GB and using it isn't immediately easy. Despite the seemingly decent video support, conversion is necessary in most cases.
The bottom line: Until Iriver lowers the price on the Spinn, it will remain a luxury portable media player best suited to an early adopter with a penchant for unique gadgets and a library of lossless music.

Biggest waste of my time and money. Just get an itouch.

Pros: The image quality is good for both pictures and videos. Having a radio that you can record is also nice. Sturdy. Nice look and finish. Great sound quality. Screen is also nice and bright.
Cons: Wow 1000 characters won't even be enough. Analog spinner may look nice at first, but after regular use it just about sucks. Want to skip the song your on? Well guess what, the SPINN is going to skip 3 or 4 for you. Want to raise the volume a notch? Too ba

Summary: Bottom line is, don't be stupid enough to waste your money on this piece of crap. Everyone told me to just get an itouch. The sad thing is, I should have listened. 99% of the time I want to crush this lame excuse for an mp3 player and yell at someone important at iriver. Because here's another annoying thing. Calling them isn't going to do anything for you. The last guy I spoke to had me change some setting on the iriver which erased EVERYTHING on there. That would have been nice to know before he had me do it. But he didn't exactly inform me. Instead of trying to create something new, iriver should have been smart enough to use the same kind of touch screen every other tech company existing has chosen to use. I was extremely disappointed with the SPINN. I has the iriver CLIX before this and as simple as it was, it was a hundred times better than this thing. BIGGEST. WASTE. OF. TIME. Do NOT buy.
