Its EX 1000 RT 2U is a high-performance UPS designed for harsh environments. Its double conversion, On Line UPS technology can ride through long lasting brownout conditions without draining the batteries while its high output provides typically 20% more power than comparable products. EX 1000 RT 2U is packed with high-availability features like an automatic by-pass and hot-swappable batteries. This versatile UPS only uses 2U height in a rack enclosure but can also be used as a tower, and its rotating, backlit LCD display can be read even in dark areas. Its network manageability is outstanding due to switched outlets to remotely reboot connected equipment or to extend backup time for the most critical servers. The bundled software suite provides a vast array of power management capabilities, like the ability to shutdown multiple servers or to be interfaced with the network even without a Web/SNMP card. EX 1000 RT 2U (formerly marketed under the Eaton Office Protection Systems brand and now part of the Pulsar series) is the solution of choice for mid-range servers and internetworking equipment with PFC power supplies.
