The good: Charges two devices at once; more portable than standard laptop chargers; tips included for many laptops/devices; free additional tips.
The bad: Tips detach a little too easily; power cord may be too short for some users; no Apple laptop support.
The bottom line: The ultraportable Targus Premium Laptop Charger is definitely a smart option for powering your portables, on the go or at home.

Big waste of money. Dont waste your money!

Pros: The promise of the product does not live up to expectations. The sales man at Best Buy said "you get what you pay for" in this instance, that statement could not be farther from the truth!
Cons: The many fittings for the power chord are so loosely fitted that you have to constantly check to make sure you are still plugged in. The wall plug in is so bad it continually fails, and I find myself running around the house trying different plugs

Summary: This is not a power chord. This is a battery charger. It is very difficult to use. Your battery continually runs down, it is extremely unpredictable and undependable under the best circumstances. I recently found out I can purchase a replacement AC power chord from Gateway for $14.00. I sure wish I had done more research prior to buying this product for $100. Save your self a lot of anger and stay away from this product.

Slick and convenient.

Pros: Half the size of my laptop adapter. The unit plugs directly into an electrical receptacle using a fold away plug. This eliminates the bulky 110V AC power cable and leaves only the more svelte DC cable, reducing overall travel bulk. Yes, the unit needs to
Cons: Loose tips (I use a bit of tape to keep them on). No other problems have shown up in two years of use. I don't share other reviewer's low opinion of the product.

This product breaks VERY easily not REPLACEABLE.

Pros: None that I know of.
Cons: The tips break very easily and the only way to replace some of them is to return the product to the store. After doing this 2 or 3 times, it is necessary to find another product. Tips for Targus, DOES NOT MAKE THE TIPS available.

Worth your time to keep looking

Pros: The price of the unit is very reasonable. I purchased one on the merits of the Targus name.
Cons: As CNet mentioned, a rather loose fit when interchanging the tips. If your laptop is going to sit on a desk and recharge,, this is not a problem, but be advised if you plan on using your laptop when plugged in; the tip will undoubtedly detach.
