The bottom line: CNET did not review the Mitsubishi WD-60735, but we did review a larger model in the series.
Although CNET did not review the 60-inch Mitsubishi WD-60735, we did review the 65-inch Mitsubishi WD-65735. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Mitsubishi rear-projection HDTVs are basically identical but for screen size, so we expect the review of the 65-incher to give a good indication of how the 60-inch model will perform. For more information, refer to the full review of the 65-inch Mitsubishi WD-65735.

Beautiful clear picture.
by diesel503 on April 5, 2009
Pros: Great Picture. Quite light and easy to move. Lamp seems to work for quite a long time. Plenty of connections.
Cons: Must change lamp when the time comes they are around 90.00. Not as bright as LCD or Plasma.

Summary: I paid about 1000 dollars for this set. I have had it for about four months and the lamp has yet to start fading at all. It is really easy to manuver around. Very happy with this this purchase. I know LCDs or Plasmas may look a little better but I could not see paying 2000 more dollars just for that. I hope DLPs stay around. They make a great large screen for those that maybe cannot afford a LCD of that size.

VERY PLEASED
by kruff10 on March 7, 2009
Pros: THE PICTURE IS OUTSTANDING, SIZE, LOOKS , 3 HDMI INPUTS AND CONTROLS AND INPUTS ON THE FRONT OF THE TV, I DON`T KNOW WHAT CNET IS TALKING ABOUT IN TURMS OF BAD COLOR BUT WITH SOME EASY TWEEKING THE COLORS ARE WONDERFUL AND SATURATED.
Cons: THE BULB WILL BURN OUT IN ABOUT 3 YEARS BUT AT ONLY $99 BUCKS FROM MITSUBISHI.COM I`M COOL WITH THAT, IT WILL BE LIKE GETTING A BRAND NEW TV., THE SOUND CAN BE CORRECTED WITH A HOME THEATER SYSTEM, SO NO BIGGIE.
Summary: I LIKE THAT THE TV HAS INPUTS ON THE FRONT OF IT SO NO TURNING THE TV AROUND TO HOOK UP, SAY A WII OR X-BOX 360, ANTI GLARE SCREEN, ...
Summary: I LIKE THAT THE TV HAS INPUTS ON THE FRONT OF IT SO NO TURNING THE TV AROUND TO HOOK UP, SAY A WII OR X-BOX 360, ANTI GLARE SCREEN, THE REASON I GAVE IT 4 STAR IS BECAUSE OF THE SOUND, I GOT THE TV FROM QCV WITH A STAND ALSO IT LOOKS VERY NICE IN MY TV ROOM, THE BULB FOR ME IS NOT A BIG ISSUE AT ALL, SOMTIMES WHEN IM LOOKING AT AN HD SOURCE I`M LIKE OMG!!! THAT IS A HELL OF A PICTURE.
lol oh i forgot to say i have the 65 inch model of this tv
THIS IS NOT LIKE THE OLD SHCOOL REAR PROJECTION TV`S THIS IS A WHOLE NEW GAME, EVEN THE OFF ANGLES VEIWING ARE NOT BAD AT ALL, THIS TV DOES NOT HAVE A DEDICATED PC INPUT BUT U CAN STILL HOOK UP UR LAPTOP OR DESKTOP TO IT USING AN HDMI TO DVI CABLE, IF YOU HAVE HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT THE LAMPS ON THESE MITSUBISHI TV`S GOING BAD REALLY FAST IT IS BECAUSE OF A KNOW AND FIXED PROBLEM THAT MITSUBISHI NEW ABOUT IN SOME OLDER MODELS, THE PROBLEMS ARE GONE IN THIS MODEL, I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS YET, I GOT THIS TV 2-13-09 AND TODAY IS 3-7-09,
SO FAR SO GOOD, I PLAY BATTLE FIELD 2 ON (PC) THIS TV AND IT LOOKS VERY NICE, FEALS LIKE I`M ON THE BATTLE FIELD LOL
BOTTOM LINE THIS IS A VERY NICE TV, NOT THE BEST BUT YOU GET MORE BANG FOR UR BUCK.

Awesome TV
by cneetguy on January 18, 2009
Pros: Picture quality, size for the money is a no brainer, when new bulb is required, picture is like new again, unlike the fading plasma and LCD. Three HDMI inputs.
Cons: Speakers, but a surround system is a must anyways.
Summary: Would 100 percent recommend this TV.

Standard TV leaves more to desire, but that's expected on a 60in screen. Sound isn't that great, so a home theatre system is a must.
