You might want to actually play this first!

Pros: Main storyline is good. Like a lot of good prequels, it makes excellent use of foreshadowing. I would also argue that the gameplay is even better than the main storyline games. It's what the game system of Chain of Memories could have been.
Cons: Post-game can prove very difficult (for me at least). The creators were wise to require you only need to defeat the two secret bosses with one of the characters in order to reach completion. Beating them once is already a nightmare in of itself.
