  Awesome Music Machine

  Pros: It plays all your IPOD / I Phone audio files, USB thumb drive MP3s or WMA audio files, CD's , MP3 CD's, you can even attach this unit to your TV and it will play your video files from your IPOD / I Phone.

  Cons: The only con I have is the radio , there is not a very good sound from local radio, but I think that may be the weak signal from the local station, but I did not buy it for the radio, so it's still very good unit for me.

  Summary: So far this Philips DCM -250 unit is a great purchase, as I mentioned I only paid $129 for it here in Canada and the unit delivers in all aspects ...

  Summary: So far this Philips DCM -250 unit is a great purchase, as I mentioned I only paid $129 for it here in Canada and the unit delivers in all aspects that I wanted. I have no trouble recommending it. The sound is FANTASTIC, I have hear the Bose players and this is very close in sound and only a fraction of the price $129 compared to over $700 for the Bose. I am very pleased with this audio system.

  Great sound quality for the money

  Pros: Handles all the iphone and i pod products, easy to use, my wife wanted system for kitchen area of home and this is perfect, sound quality is excellent for size, easy to use and it will charge the i- devices while docked. I really like this system!!

  Summary: compared head to head with 4 other units in Walmart with the use of my music on my own iphone... this was by far the best sound quality of all, made others sound like transistor radios of the past. Compared with Sony, iplayer, another one that didnt even rank listing.the sony was $, 99.00 the i whatever was $99.00, this Phillips was $149.00 and well worth the difference, If you care about sound quality..

  Good sound good features - poor radio reception

  Pros: Overall sound is impressive for a small boombox sized unit
  CD, ipod dock, am, fm, component video out for ipod, remote control, clock and alarm in one package is very rare
  Not really ugly

  Cons: Poor radio reception (in rural area)
  Should have Bass/Treble controls instead of various eq presets. Surely this can't be that difficult.

  Summary: I bought this unit to be used as a clock radio to sit on a dresser not beside the bed so I needed a remote. I need a lot of things actually and this unit had it all but along with that it had a fatal flaw for me. I live in a rural area and I listen to a lot of radio. Unfortunately this unit did poorly when it came to picking up my favorite stations clearly. Stations that are easily tuned in on a radio with an analogue tuner are lost with this unit. This is not unusual for new radios with digital tuners. I'm not sure if that has to do with the digital tuning itself or the built in tuners are not what they used to be. I expect the latter.
  
  Anyway...this unit is being returned which is regrettable because it was a decent price and the sound quality was also quite good. I've now ordered a Boston Acoustics that also does the works and reportedly has great radio reception. Unfortunate it's more then twice the price.
