Summary: Within 1 month, ice started to build up in the freezer. On the 3rd visit, the LG tech finally replaced the seal. Within a week, the ice was building up again. Called LG, they said to call another applicance repair center. The repairman came, looked and checked everything and could not find anything wrong. He called LG, who had no documentation on the previous visits, and obtained a log number. Within a week, surprise, we had more ice buildup. Called LG, thinking that we've had 4 repairmen and it's still doing the EXACT same thing, that they would just replace the refrigerator. One would think that something internally, which can't be seen, is the problem. LG denied our claim and told us to have the repairman come back out. Repairman came, still could not find a problem, called LG tech support, asked them what else could be the problem and LG told him to check the seals to see if they were on correctly (we would hope so since it was an LG repairman who put if on),see if the refrigerator was on level ground, and other then that they didn't know. The repairman said that they really need to replace the unit. Called LG within a few days, the representative said he would look into it and call back. He called back on a Thursday and left a voicemail message saying they would finally replace the unit and LG would contact us in a few days. On Monday late afternoon, we called LG to speak with the representative who left the message, was told he was not available, and then informed that our claim was denied and another repairman needs to come out. We insisted on speaking with a supervisor, who then said her computer system wasn't working at the moment, and would need to call us back. She called back, it seemed that she didn't have all the information and would need to call the next day. She called the next day and said that because only one part has been repaired on the unit, they denied our claim for a replacement or refund; another repairman will have to come out. We will be having our 6th service call in 2 months; that is insane. I will NEVER buy another LG product in my life, and I am telling all my friends and family not to buy their products either. They DON'T stand behind their products!!!
