  Summary: All-in-all, can't name one complaint or concern that I see arising from this unit. Everything you buy these days has gone to the way of digital electronics, more computerized stuff, and repairs that are costly and normally cant be done by the do-it-yourself'er....I hope, sincerely, that nothing happens to the fridge, as I doubt I could easily repair this one as I've done in the past with older units (like replacing defrost timers and such, or thermostats)..but I love what I see from this Whirlpool.
  
  The ONLY sound we ever hear is the occasional dropping of ice. You can try really hard and you MIGHT hear the motor / compressor running...but it's so quiet that you'll never notice it. We still have our other (replaced) refrigerator, and you can DEFINITELY hear that one running. It's the difference of night and day between the two.

  Quality control problem with shelves

  Bottom freezer leaks and forms a sheet of ice.

  Pros: top half very spacious and keeps products at the right temp.

  Cons: the freezer leaks which forms a sheet of ice at the bottom of the freezer, which eventually leaks from the side and on to the floor. This happens every couple of weeks
