Started out great, but turned into terrible

Pros: When it works, its great. Both 2.4 and 5GHz, nice settings menu. Small, cool looking.
Cons: Does not work for any prolonged period of time. 5GHz goes in and out. Then out and not to return. WPA2 does not get above 0.6mb/s. Tried updating firmware, rebooting, and hours of tech support.

Summary: Get a different router.
Yes the tech support is helpful and friendly, but with the WPA2 and 5MHz problems I just want a different router, not a new one, a different model/brand. I have sent it in twice, and they are sending me my third. Same problems on all of them. From reading on the web, the 5MHz problem is not just me, it seems to be a common one.
I like/liked (in between now) ASUS, but if the new unit they are sending me still does not work, I might switch brands....

Pros: The Asus RT-N53 Dual-Band Wireless-N600 Router has a cool design, blazing fast internet, and is easy to set up.
Cons: The router sometimes goes offline, but can be fixed by a simple restart.
