Motel mode / Dual Wireless access Point / Dual Band

**** ISSUE FOUND ****
At first I setup the guest WIFI to a hotel style setup, then I decided not to use the guest WiFi setup so I disabled it. Once I did that the Main WIFI access point did not work at all???? SO I was changing the WPA2 setup to various different config and password to try to get *** to work. After server reboot (1 Minute each)Nothing work, but then I disable the security on the Main WiFi access point and everything worked????
Updated the Firmware, checked all
*** RESOLUTION ***
If you disable the Guest WiFi access on the router it breaks the security function on the Main WiFi, and if you drop you connection you can't reconnect to the Main WiFi access point.
TO the WPA2 working on the main access point I created the following setup:
Enabled the Main Connection for G/N connections only (I have to B WiFi device in the house)
Called it (Example: Mainwifi)
Enabled the guest Connection for B connections only (In the event somone or some device only has that type of connection capabilities - Guest / Old device to test)
Enable WPA2 on the guest Access Point (Different Password)
Called it (Example: Guestwifi)
And I disable the SSID broadcast for the guest one, to keep things clean. And if someone requires B access and the connection can't be added manual, I just re-enable the SSID broadcasts on the Guest Access point
I hope this helps because I could not find this on the web, and it would of saved me a lot of trouble
Note:
The guest WIFI gets enable automatically once you configure the Main Access Point, make sure you don't turn the guest function off.3 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

Awesome router. Speed Features reliability = excellent
by John Medina on December 16, 2012
Pros: Plug and play ease
Reliable connection, no matter how many devices. (so far so good)
Impressive media streaming
smart looking deviceCons: None, there have been no issue for a week now. Finger crossed.

Summary: As with a lot of other house-holds the addition of wireless devices has exploded exponentially. Google Smart TV, Apple TV, 4 laptops, 2 desktops, wireless printer, 3 cellphones, PS3, iPads, iPods has burdened the bandwidth of my old wireless router to the point non-function. Drops connections were a frequent occurrence for my old D-link router. The n600 DB has addressed those issues and more. No drop connections and lightning streaming. No buffering on HD content. WOW. Its like dial-up and broadband in comparison. Perfect stocking stuffer for me and the family. No more "Dad fix my iPad" :)

Outstanding router the 5 minutes that it runs.
by sixksled on May 27, 2011
Pros: Dual Band
USB Connectivity and DLNA Support
Heck, even the cables come connected already. EASY setup
Performance is OUTSTANDING!Cons: Only works for 5 minutes and then it seizes. I spent hours on the phone with technical support. Support is overseas and they speak poor English and can only work through a script. I had two defective units back to back. No software updates, I'm sure i
Summary: Belkin may be on to something, but hold off until they run the bugs out. Unfortunately, I need my internet to run more than 5 minutes at a time.

Stable, inexpensive, and versatile.
by Phyfell on July 16, 2012
Pros: USB connectivity for printers, HDD, thumb drives; dual-band; easy-to-navigate web interface; nice, simple software utility for application access.
Cons: No gigabit ports; USB connection slow and sometimes inaccessible; USB only accessible from one network computer at a time; wireless range not the best; occasionally resets

Summary: Great, low-cost router for home and small office networking. Dual-band wireless connectivity helps prevent traffic congestion. Easy-to-use interface great for novices; somewhat lacking in features for more advanced usage. Media Mover feature allows music streaming to other network devices, like smart TVs, set-top boxes, and other media equipment; however, the somewhat slow interface causes some breaks in the stream buffer. USB port a welcome option, especially on such a low-priced device. I would recommend this router to anyone new or inexperienced with home networking, and definitely worth the $70 price tag.

Great speed at a reasonable price point.
by iceman721 on March 31, 2013
Pros: Easy set up. Fast speeds. Rarely needs to be reset. Nice looking router.
Cons: Average distance. There are better choices for long range but at this price point this is probably one of the best dual band routers you can buy.

Summary: A dual band router that is easy to set up at a very reasonable price point. It's slim and good looking but it's lack of external antenna's probably limits it's range somewhat. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this for a smaller home or apartment. If you have over 2,000 sq ft to cover I might consider something more expensive. I would recommend this unless you need long range. Speeds are very good as is use with multiple devices.

for the price - excellent, but...?
by Brituc on September 3, 2012
Pros: Wireless and wired performance excellent. Installation simple, user interface good.
Cons: USB connection fails frequently, requires reset of attached hard drive to re-establish connection. Trying to determine whether problem is with hard drive or with router ... TBD

It goes! And fast!
by CaliSean75 on May 12, 2012
Pros: Its better than the competition and more affordable.
Cons: The only con is any change to the routers information causes a reboot of the router. This isn't a bad thing really, its just the only con I could find with it.
