The good: The Trendnet TEW-692GR 450 Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Router features 450Mbps on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. It offers fast throughput speeds on the 5GHz band, long range, Gigabit Ethernet, and an easy-to-use Web interface.
The bad: The TEW-692GR's throughput on the 2.4GHz band could use some improvement. The router doesn't have support for IPv6, and lacks storage and print-serving capabilities.
The bottom line: The Trendnet TEW-692GR 450 Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Router provides cutting-edge wireless technology but falls a little short on 2.4GHz throughput performance, comparatively.

No documentation for setup, no help number listed

Pros: After the hours of frustrating setup, the router might work
Cons: Useless documentation, no number to call, no pw for setup site. Found help number with iphone, helped set up 2.4GHZ band.
But left unprotected 5GHz connection available to all. 5GHz setup failed, had to disable "broadcast SSID" for 5GHZ connection.

Summary: There was absolutely no useful setup information that came with this product and not even a number to call for sup0port. I had to find the number online through my iphone and spend an hour or more with a helpful technical person to get my router set up. She didn't know why the setup didn't work on my iphone but I founda work-around myself.
She told me how to get into the setup panel and configure the 2.4GHz security but to leave the 5GHz security alone. Imagine my shock when I discovered that our Windows XP computer was showing a completely unprotected 5GHZ connection in addition to the one I set up.
When I then set up the 5GHZ with an SSID name and security pw, it knocked out both internet connections. When I disabled Broadcast Network Name for the GHz connection everything was working again.
What is the point of having a dual-band router if the higher bandwidth has to be disabled and worse yet, would have severely compromised my security if I hadn't discovered it was broadcasting unprotected?
I feel like I've been taken for a ride.

Great speed, average range

Pros: Great speed. Okay feature set.
Cons: Average range. Requires a reboot after almost every configuration change. When mine reboots, I have to reboot the cable modem to regain Internet connectivity. WDS did not set up to DD-MRT firmware on a Motorola AP, but DD-MRT's router bridge mode worke
Summary: Great speed if you have line of sight. Speed/signal drops quickly with things in the way (or even antenna orientation).
