Pros: Low price available at many stores

Summary: The new XMCK10A model has what is called Direct Connect. If you have a external antenna it clips to it then the wire connects to the receiver. Then attached to that wire is the XM antenna wire. If you have a window glass antenna then it sticks to the antenna with double sided tape. These changes were brought about by the FCC to cut down on the XM internal transmitter bleeding out to other radios in the area. Before all you had was the antenna, power cable and head unit which made it easy to move from car to car and reception was great. The pictures of the car kit do not show the new additional antenna that is required. If you have a mini-van with the radio antenna in the rear or side glass then you have wires running from the rear all the way to the front.Poor at best. From now on factory XM only.
