  Summary: If you are like me and wanted to take all the shoe boxes of photos and make them digital for you computer viewing, this is the item to have. If you ever attempted to do this without a photo feeder, you know it would take years. It scans about 100 photos/hr. The biggest confusion with this product is Epson's web site. It shows this Photo Feeder to be an accessory for the 2480 & 2580 scanners. But it also links you to it when you click accessories for the newer 3490 & 3590 scanners. Still says compatible with the 2480 & 2580. Well it works great with the newer scanners too. I have the 3490 using this B12B813372 accessory. Why Epson does not update their link is beyond me. They would sell a lot more of them. I have scanned some of my old Polaroids, but most are so thick, they get stuck. Also if you have any larger then 4"x6" prints, they will not fit. Overall, this is a must have item if you are like me and have shoes box after shoe box full of photos. I have scanned over three thousand and still going strong.

  I have given the Polaroids another try since I had so many to do. As long as you only do about 6 at a time, they work fairly well. I let the fat part of the Polaroid go into the feeder last. Seems a lot better then scanning each one by hand. Much better.
