Dedicated workhorse

Pros: Able to handle a large workload throughout an 8 hour day. Constant scanning of documents via the ADF poses no problems.
Cons: This is not the perfect scanner for photos.

Summary: This is the perfect scanner in terms of its price and its ability to handle large amounts of documents. With it being able to hold 25 sheets, it does compensate for the 8 ppm. In terms of scanning photos it is not spectacular, but just enough: 600x1200 dpi, 42-bit.Great tool to scan the numerous articles and documents piling up on your desk, your tv, your bed, your kitchen table...you get the point.

Summary: I am in IT. At my work we have 85 visioneer 9450 USB scanners. Three are inoperable because the latches that keep the feeder assembly door down and the feeding gears engaged are broken. As the units get older, the feeder assembly door latches do not keep the door down tight and we began experiencing paper jams. For the price and the quality of scans, we couldn't ask for anything else. However, replacing scanners because of two plastic door latches seems a bit extreme. Additionally, I do not like that I cannot contact Visioneer via email, I must call. Any of you that have called support centers know the wait that you can have.
