  Summary: I have two of these cameras running 24/7 with no issues. They work extremely well wirelessly and operate very fast surprisingly. As long as the lighting is good the images from the camera are excellent. The built in microphone works very well. I have no problems at all with these camera. The both have their firmware updated. They are good for monitoring a room for sound and video. The digital zoom is terrible as with all cameras, the only good zoom is a optical zoom. If I wanted a digital zoom I would just open the camera viewer see the video and go into my windows XP and grab the magnifier. (you get the picture, Im sure). Anyway overall this is a good low budget camera with audio. The sound does make a big difference when you not only see whats going on but you can also hear whats going on.

  Summary: I have had this camera for close to 2 years. At first I had a rocky start with it, frequent lock ups, remote viewing problems. Over the time I have had this camera, I have noticed that 90% of the problems I have encountered were either a user error, or an issue with the router and not a camera problem.
  
  At first I was using a DLink DI-524. The camera was a few rooms away from the router and for the most part worked well. It would occasionally lock up and stop responding on my network and would require a power cycle. It was frustrating, and other reviews showed other people having similar issues.
  
  When I moved to a new house, I bought a Dlink DGL-4300. Immediately, I noticed a difference. The amount of lockups dramatically decreased and remote video feeds were much smoother. The camera is also about twice as far from the router then it was before and works better! I have noticed that the newer DGL-4300 firmware does not play nice with this camera, so I am running a slightly back rev version, but thats a different issue.
  
  Overall, not including my experiences with the old router, this camera is excellent! Rarely does it lock up anymore. Its a very reliable camera, I am actually considering buying another.

  Summary: D-link really needs to figure out why this camera locks up all the time. Their knowledge base only says to unplug it and plug it back in when it locks up (so D-Link obviously knows this is a problem). Sure enough, that does the trick, but when it locks up while you're accessing it remotely from the internet (i.e. you're simply not home to unplug it and reset it), you're out of luck -- camera is dead until you get home to fix it. This maddening problem really ought not to exist in a 400 dollar camera.

  Wireless...NOT!

  Summary: I purchased two D-Link 5300G cameras and attempted to configure them with a D-Link DI-634G Wireless Router. Unable to establish a wireless connection to either camera, I called D-Stink's tech-support. After 5 separate calls, all of which ended with being disconnected, I gave up. For them to say this camera is wireless and then charge the extra $ for it, it's a rip-off. Anyone want a deal on two wired cameras? They're cheap?!

  Summary: Do not buy this camera if you want to use it with a Mac--any Mac. You will be able to control the camera--but unable to see any video! Other D-Link products, including cameras, work fine with Macs. This one, however, is useless if you only use Macs. Since the video and control is done through a web-browser, and Macs can use the same browsers as Windows-based computers, D-Link should warn buyers that the video won't work in any Mac browsers. Instead they save this little tidbit for the camera's "Troubleshooting" guide. I give the camera a 5 rating (since I assume it works fine with Windows OS browsers), but I give D-Link a 0 rating for adequate disclosure.

  Great webcam/surveillance camera

  Summary: This camera does everything it is advertised to do and is extremely configurable and flexible. It's great as a simple home webcam to keep an eye on things. With the wireless, all you need is a power outlet so moving from one room to another or even tempararily putting it outside couldn't be easier. However, note that it is not b/g, it only works with 802.11g. On the other hand, it has plenty of additional features including external microphone input and industry standard I/O for adding motion detectors etc. While the web page works fine, I was also very impressed with the IP Surveillance software which allows monitoring up to 16 cameras at once and will record video (manually, on a schedule, or event driven) to the local hard drive. It also contains nice playback software that allows you to select what you want to playback merely by clicking a timeline. Of course, for simple monitoring of one camera the web page built into the device works fine.
  
  The unit fits nicely on any flat surface and comes with a standard camera mount for mounting the unit to a wall.
  
  Image quality isn't megapixel camera quality, but more than adequate for keeping an eye on an area, but don't expect to see license plate numbers. Digital zoom is OK as digital zoom goes (the digital zoom web control is nicely done!) but if you need zoom regularly you definitely should go optical which I see D-Link just released or get a high end 3+ migapixel camera that allow digital zoom to work acceptably.
  
  Pan and Tilt work great and also allows presets and programming to cycle through presets you establish.
  
  I only have two minor gripes. Gripe one is that the IP Surveillance Monitor software window cannot be moved to a second monitor which seems to me to be the ideal setup. Work on my main monitor and keep an eye on my cameras using my secondary monitor. This of course is only true of the surveillance software--this isn't a limitation when viewed through a browser window. As a work around for viewing multiple webcams, I'll probably just create a simple web page (using code from D-Links support site) and embed the streamed video from multiple cameras into a table setup on the web page I create. Gripe 2 is that I would like to have a more flexible way to power the unit. Rather than be stuck to using a traditional dc input with the approx 6' cord, I'd like to be able to power over, for example, cat5 cable for places where an outlet is not convenient or just to make a mounted installation cleaner.
  
  Minor gripes aside, I'm very pleased and feel I definitely got my money's worth. If higher quality image is an absolute must, I also have an IQEye (cost over $1500 wo pan/tilt) which is very nice but also pricey.

  The darn thing keeps locking up and will not work again until it is unplugged. It crashes so much as to be almost useless. I strongly recommend NOT buying this camera until D-Link fixes this problem.

  Feature-filled and high end product!

  Pros: Easy to setup. Great tech support - 24/7. Video quality is excellent with the CCD. Remote control for the camera. Small and compact. Can setup via wireless or wired to the router. All hardware included to DIY home security camera system.

  Cons: Expensive, very expensive.
