2010 Lexus LS 460 price range: $65,380.00
- Reviewed by: Wayne Cunningham
- Reviewed on: 10/13/2010
The good: Perfect for its luxury mission, the 2010 Lexus LS 460's air suspension gives it a very smooth ride, while engine and transmission combine for efficient power. The Mark Levinson audio system produces excellent sound quality.
The bad: The iPod interface is very sluggish. Lexus does not offer driver assistance features such as blind-spot detection and adaptive cruise control.
The bottom line: With excellent ride quality, a sound-deadened cabin, and a superb audio system, the 2010 Lexus LS 460 is a very comfortable luxury cruiser. But its tech is conservative, failing to push any boundaries.

Excellent car
by rnaz1017 on October 14, 2010
Pros: The "Sport" model won't be a EVO or a Lotus in the corners, but for a huge immensely refined sedan it does quite well.
Cons: People stereotyping the vehicle from behind their computer screen without any knowledge of the car.
Summary: Bottom line, CNET Stop writing terrible car reviews, your suppose to be reviewing IN CABIN TECH..not the car itself. LEAVE THAT TO THE PROS.

Lexus rocks
by DaveZmeyr on April 13, 2011
Pros: I've owned a couple of BMW 7 series, a loaded Infiniti M (it's a short small car but it's their top of the line) and now a Lexus. I think the Audi might be better looking, but for $25k less I got pretty much the same features, a fabulous ride, excellent
Cons: NOT a sports car, though a pretty tight turning radius, a couple of electronic features of other cars aren't available, some of the electronics do seem dated though they function well. I had that any text is shown in a block box -- a step up from green s

Summary: An amazing quiet and comfortable ride, you're pretty much in another world when you get into this car. It's subtle smooth leather is like sitting down in your favorite living room chair, the stereo system envelopes you with sound, and the many compartments store your valuables out of site, within reach. Not a stunning jaw dropper from the outside but it's a handsome car outside and a beautiful car inside.

Great Big Car Value
by joemajestic on November 9, 2010
Pros: The LS460 is a very roomy and comfortable car. The upgraded Levison sound system delivers a very pleasing experience. The cabin tech is good but not leading-edge by any means.
Cons: As mentioned above, the cabin tech is ok but needs to be updated in the next generation.

Summary: A few of the reviews posted here are from people who do not own or have never driven an LS460. I actually own a 2010 LS460 so my review is based on actual experience. After discounts, I bought a $75,000 list AWD LS460 for $68,500. I also considered the Mercedes S-500 and BMW 7-Series. Both very nice cars but much more expensive and in my opinion did not provide as comfortable a ride as the LS460. Consumer Reports gave the LS460 a 99 out of 100 score, which is the highest rated luxury sedan they have tested. Resale value of the LS460 is very good. Many competing cars fall short in resale value, especially domestic competitors like Cadillac and Lincoln. It?s your money, spend it wisely.

This is the LS 460 Sport, NOT a box-stock LS 460!
by Heimdall G. on October 13, 2010
Pros: This review is obviously written by a Merc and/or Beemer afficianado, and is therefore not all that objective.
Me, I *own* an LS 460 Sport - see my review at http://lexusenthusiast.com/2010/06/10/reader-review-lexus-ls-460-sport/Cons: See my review at http://lexusenthusiast.com/2010/06/10/reader-review-lexus-ls-460-sport/

Overdressed 'Toyota'!!
by Pks297333 on October 14, 2010
Pros: It's a car
Cons: Nothing great about it, I rather own a 'Caddy' than this 'car'. $65,380.00 for a import? I would rather buy the flagship of American cars 'Caddilac' than send this amount overseas!!
Summary: It's a overprice 'Toyota (Lexus are made on one side, Toyota's on the other) dressed up with abit of wood and leather!! Years back Ford made 'Pintos' and ...
Summary: It's a overprice 'Toyota (Lexus are made on one side, Toyota's on the other) dressed up with abit of wood and leather!! Years back Ford made 'Pintos' and a few got some different emblems, front grills, trim and they called them a 'Mercury' Linx!! Same car but Mercury charged you more! Funny the big issue on 'exploding' gas tanks in the Pintos never occured in the Mercury 'Linx' since they were the same car!! I would rather keep my money in the U.S.A. (I know already that there are 'imported parts' on American cars) with a American company than send my money (yes I also know that they make some 'Toyotas/Lexus here...Toyota does that do get around the IMPORT TAX) to the land of the rising sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you really refer to the LS 460 as a sports model? Hahahahaha. It's a Lexus. The only "sports" model they offer is the LFA; and it's so over-priced your typical affluent car enthusiast won't even give it a second glance. Not to mention, at that price point the overall performance and driving dynamic falls considerably short. Oh, and the IS and SC are cruel jokes.

Blind-spot detection and adaptive cruise controls? Who cares? Look over your shoulder and drive for goodness sake. These are cars; in case we've all forgotten.0 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.
