2011 Ford Fiesta price range: $13,320.00

The good: Sync remains one of Ford's best cabin technologies, giving the 2011 Fiesta MP3 player and Bluetooth phone compatibility, and the audio quality from the stereo stands out. The dual-clutch transmission is a neat bit of performance tech. The exterior design of this new Fiesta gives it a fun and unique style.
The bad: Sync TDI is not a great substitute for an onboard navigation system. The transmission could not always keep up with driving situations.
The bottom line: A sporty-looking car, the 2011 Ford Fiesta's small size makes it good for urban areas, and it boasts excellent compatibility with personal electronics.

Definitely a car worth checking out!
by FastFlash89 on April 6, 2011
Pros: Love the mpg I get out of this car! Drove from Santa Clarita CA all the way to Sacramento, CA and then to Palo Alto, CA all on 1 tank of gas! That's over 450 miles on one tank of gas! Hand free and bluetooth work wonders with the Ford Sync system
Cons: Back seat is something to be desired. Very small, but it really depends on the driver and where they place their seat. 6 foot tall salesperson fit in the back snug, but he fit.

And to think I went to get the Focus

Pros: It's cute; it's sporty; super great on gas.

Summary: I can't believe how absolutely fun it is to drive this car. I drove the Focus while out in California and had my heart set on that. The roominess in such a small car was so not what I was expecting. But when I heard about the possible gas mileage I could get with the Fiesta, well, I didn't hesitate.
My only gripe is the transmission. Wish it could be better that what it is. Otherwise, what's not to love about this little buggy! -
I am so in love with this little Ford!!!!
by Fiestablue on March 5, 2011
Pros: 1) Dual-clutch transmission (automated).
2) LED parking lights.
3) SYNC by Microsoft and upgraded sound system.
4) Ride, handling and quietness of a much expensive car.
5) Super attractive styling (hatchback).
6) Safety features (7 airbags, TCS, ESP)Cons: 1) Not much rear legroom.
2) No front/ rear armrests.
3) A longer warranty would be perfect!
4) THE NAME! LOLSummary: I bought a Ford Fiesta SE hatchback with the sport appearance package and SYNC system. The color is blue flame metallic and it looks amazing just like a very european ...
Summary: I bought a Ford Fiesta SE hatchback with the sport appearance package and SYNC system. The color is blue flame metallic and it looks amazing just like a very european car like a Peugeot, Renault, etc.
The transmission is the PowerShift dual-clutch automated with 6 gears just like those in VW, Audi or Porsches. It works so great upshifting and looking for the best mileage after 4th gear. The same cannot be said when downshifting when it struggles a little but as soon it gets the right gear it accelerates very nice. People think all Fiestas has a transmission problem because they are accustomed to classic automatic transmissions that doesn't make any weird sounds or kicks like the PowerShift unit. Try a BMW M5 with SMG and you will know Ford did it better.
Above all the hi-tech in the powertrain you will find lots of features expected on a 50k Mercedes Benz like SYNC system with bluetooth and voice-activated commands, a telescoping steering wheel, great instrument cluster, map lights, one-touch up and down power window, 5 cupholders in front, supportive seats or other features included in the more expensive SES model (push-button start, leather seats, etc).
My car has created a lot of discussion when people see it because they are again accustomed to the bland styling of a Toyota Yaris or any other competitor in this class segment.
One of many reasons to choose the Ford is because of its safety features too! 7 airbags (driver knee airbag), stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, SYNC calls 9-1-1 after a collision, 4 star impact rating in front and 5 stars in the sides, etc.
Do not commit the same error I did at first when I saw the Fiesta on the web and though it was a bad car, it is a really really good car!
I am getting 30mpg combined with a lot of stop and go plus idling in heavy traffic. Today I was cruising at 65mph using the cruise control and the trip computer measured 42-50mpgs!!! There is nothing bad to say about this car, just drive one! -

Pros: Ford's work with Microsoft has really paid off.
Inexpensive, yet still with so much tech.Cons: Transmission needs a little work...

Summary: Ford has really taken off in it's technology. Normally I'm a GM guy, and enjoy their technology too, but Ford has centered it's tech square onto the driver's enjoyment. There's a little bit that GM still has over Ford on tech. And GM's drivetrains feel much more refined, but for simple tech use of the features such as radio, air, road information the Ford solution is just sexy as hell.

Recently purchased the hatchback with a 5 speed manual.
by winoiknow on January 16, 2011
Pros: Ride is nice for a smaller car. Sporty and responsive. Plenty of room in the front seats. Cabin noise is not excessive. Even we have been able to operate the SYNC. Gas mileage is the major plus. Averaging over 35 mpg, even with city driving.
Cons: Small back seat and storage area (but you have to realize and except this when you buy a car of this size). Accessibility of radio/SYNC controls are not ideal (once again, you are buying a budget car).
Summary: So far we are happy with our decision. At this point I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a car with exceptional gas mileage. Cabin comfort is nice. ...
Summary: So far we are happy with our decision. At this point I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a car with exceptional gas mileage. Cabin comfort is nice. Car has acceptable power for the engine that comes with it. Have driven both the automatic and manual transmission versions. If you can, get it with a stick. Driving is more responsive and fun with this version. Even the stability control is admirable on these cars. The features are better than I expected on a car of this price.
A common complaint is the lack of a center (or any) console. Although this would be a nice feature, I do not see a place where it would be practical without removing the cup holders. Given the choice, I prefer the cup holders over a storage bin for junk. Keep in mind you are buying a low price, budget car. The differences we found for spending $5000 more were so minor that it wasn't worth the price. And in most cases you are giving up gas mileage.

Excellent car!

Pros: Agile, fun to drive, wonderful multimedia center, comfortable seats up front, attractive styling.
Cons: very cramped back seats, very small trunk. When one folds the seats, they do not fold flat. No arm rest in center.

Summary: After my family has spread all over, it is time to go small. I tested the Honda Fit, and the Fiesta. Small room in the rear was not a factor to me, being by myself. The Fiesta is more luxurious, rides more comfortably, and has a much better entertainment center. The ride is agile, with good feel of the road. My dual clutch tranny is flawless. The acceleration is nothing to write home about, as to be expected from such car. I average 32 mpg in the city, and 44.8 in very limited highway driving. I am very aware of the millage, so I did not (so far) drove aggressively. I am sure that once the novelty has expired, I will start speeding as usual, and my millage will suffer. So far (3 weeks) I love my car!

My first car.
by unlkneotha on August 21, 2010
Pros: Great... AMAZING on gas. It is really fun to drive. It looks awesome. EVERYONE loves it. Great for small parking areas. Great for the city. The illuminated cabin is so cool. Can add accessories later on. Sync and bluetooth.
Cons: Doesn't have a center arm rest. Doesn't have a Navi option. Doesn't have lighted vanity mirrors. Doesn't have those things over the door for passengers to hold on to while going on a curve. The glove compartment i TINY and not light.

Summary: This is my very first car and i am so happy with my choice. The car is great on gas I've averaged 38.7 mpg living in NYC. The car is SEXY! It has amazing lines and curves that really make it stand out. Little things like the chrome belt line and the change lane signals on the mirrors give it a more expensive look. Mine is Monterrey Gray Metallic. One of my favorite things is the illuminated cabin it looks so cool driving at night. The audio system is also impressive. I never listen to the radio anymore. I bought a 320gb hard drive and hooked it up to the usb slot on the car and just listen to a library of music i compiled. Its AWESOME. The leather seats are so comfortable and great looking with that little strip of white around. I love that I don't have to get oil changes until 10k miles. YAY! I wish it had a navi system, and some other little things and a arm rest. I also would have lied a little bit more chrome! The car is spacious for me and im 6'3" dunno how the people sitting behind me are doing. I've never had more that 3 people at a time in the car so i don't know for sure how uncomfortable it can get back there, but who cares i bought the car for me not for the comfort of others. I am 100% happy with my purchase. Although loving a car this much can have its draw backs. Some ******* in Greenpoint, BK it my car getting out of a parking spot and now I have two little dents on the back of my car. I couldn't sleep the night it happened. I need to get that fixed. Here are some accessories i am planning on getting. The spoiler. The illuminated door sill. I also want to get a sunroof installed maybe next spring.

A breath of fresh air
by u_ser_name on August 3, 2010
Pros: Best looking car in it's segment -- arguably
Best cabin tech in it's segment
Best Fuel economy in it's segment and price range
Best driving characteristics for it's fuel consumptionCons: Dashboard alien look design needs to be revisited... fugly
Must have central console arm rest... for long trips.Summary: A car cheaper than the Focus yet uncompromising, you wouldn't feel embarrassed to be seen driving.

Lemon! Do not buy this car.
by chrisquarrie on March 11, 2012
Pros: Ford Sync, the bluetooth connection to my iPhone works pretty well (doesn't always connect when it should)
Cons: Transmission was clicking within 800 km. Uneven acceleration in all conditions. Battery died within 3000 km. Makes odd clicking noises. Trunk light warning, when trunk is closed (keeps interior light on, and beeping)
Summary: DO NOT BUY A FORD FIESTA. It is a complete lemon. I cringe when I think about the money I'm spending on this piece of crap. I wish I ...
Summary: DO NOT BUY A FORD FIESTA. It is a complete lemon. I cringe when I think about the money I'm spending on this piece of crap. I wish I had bought a Honda Fit, or any other car really. I will NEVER NEVER BUY A FORD, especially not one with the "PowerShift" transmission. TERRIBLE CAR. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
