- The 2013 Volkswagen CC would be an impressive car if it were priced in the mid-20s. At $35,000, its sparse cabin tech does not measure up with the competition.

2013 Volkswagen CC price range: $35,355.00
- Reviewed by: Wayne Cunningham

The good: The 2013 Volkswagen CC looks sharp with its coupe styling. The engine uses direct injection and a turbocharger, and Volkswagen fits the car with its six-speed dual-clutch transmission, helping it get 31 mpg on the highway.
The bad: The CC's price tag is around $35,000, yet it includes no driver assistance features and only the most basic navigation system. The iPod port is placed inconveniently in the glove box.
The bottom line: The 2013 Volkswagen CC would be an impressive car if it were priced in the mid-20s. At $35,000, its sparse cabin tech does not measure up with the competition.

Limitless Potential
by bonedatt on April 6, 2012
Pros: Stylish, safety features are numerous, smooth drive and lots of entertainment choices. SD Card reader option, Ipod connection, mp3 auxiliary connection, HD radio, Sat radio, DVD/CD player and blue tooth audio.
Cons: Expensive to maintain, panoramic roof should slide and not just tilt. How did Ford get the 2013 Lincoln MKZ's roof to do this and VW can't?, Bi-xenon and LED lights should be standard. Regular unleaded fuel will be welcomed too.
Summary: Looks like Volkswagen is not settling for Audi as their premium brand especially with the type of features they have incorporated in the CC. The price is affordable and it'...

Smoothest, most refined car for the $$$.
by Teamchaos on April 1, 2012
Pros: Smooth, quiet, athletic ride.
Excellent steering.
Styling.
Wireless bluetooth audio (you don't have to put your iPhone in the glove compartment).Cons: Leather not available on Sport models.

Summary: Over the years I've owned Mercedes C class, Audi A4, BMW 3 series, and Cadillac CTS sedans. My 2013 CC beats them all in refinement. The ride is much better than the BMW (hated the noisy run flat tires), better built and tighter than the Mercedes C class, and quieter and more fun to drive than the CTS.
Comparing this car to a Toyota or Hyundai is a joke. If you want a refined German sedan that drives as well or better than the luxury brands for thousands less, the CC is your car.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Happy with my 2012 CC
by davidmeiri on March 30, 2012
Pros: Fun to drive, much nicer than other cars in the same price range, but not as expensive as a comparable Audi or BMW.
Cons: The navigation system could use higher resolution, blu-tooth integration with iPhone is buggy.

Summary: I don't know what happened in 2013, but my CC 2012 LUX does include a rear view camera and integrated traffic information. The location of the iPod connection in the glove compartment is actually very convenient - I place my iPod there for weeks at a time, and take it out only to update it with new music/podcasts. Much better than let it dangling around the cabin. This car is also a lot of fun to drive.

Fun to drive, good fuel econ.,good functionality.
by Kevhere67 on October 24, 2012
Pros: 2.0T/DSG combination a winner. Good balance between ride comfort and handling. Great highway cruiser. Many "hidden" comfort/convenience features. New for '13 front/rear styling. Assm. in Emden, Germany drives like a german sport sedan, because it is!
Cons: RNS 315 radio/nav could be a bit better/easier to select choices. Can get expensive if you go for the Lux or Executive trim levels.

Summary: After extensive research and several test drives, made the move on a new 2013 CC Sport Plus. Only 500 miles so far, but all is well and really liking the car better everyday. This is a more functional car that it might appear with the low roofline. The back seat is roomy and comfortable, the trunk is good size and user friendly. The driving position is great and the whole car has an upscale feel/flavor to it.Another thing that sets the CC apart from the high volume mid-sizers (Accord,Camry,Sonata,Fusion,Malibu, etc...) is the small details are still in place? Features like the multi adjustable headrests, adjustable center console, easy fold rear seats with steel bulkhead, convenience hooks in trunk, rear A/C vents, etc....Many of these kinds of extras have been eliminated from mainstream/volume mid-size sedans because of they add cost. Not a car for everyone, but does many things well.

Summary: Even here in Europe, the CC is overpriced. Nice looker, drives quite well, but is not good value. Most of the VW range is hard to justify on price, especially as other manufacturers are improving new models and sharp pricing is the norm.
Dollar for dollar, the Skoda range is better buying as you get the VW/Audi engine drivetrain combination plus plenty of creature comforts - all at much better prices.0 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.
