Summary: As other reviewers have already implied, I found that this system works well in sound quality for low to mid level volume settings but not in the higher range. This poses limitations for opera lovers due to the distortion that occurs in the higher and more forceful notes for all ranges (bass to soprano). Certain instrument groupings like percussion as well as specific instruments like the harpsichord are uncomfortable on the ears and have a high ringing twang to them that is most unflattering. Proceed with caution.

so if your looking for a practial solution whit a good sound an easyer to carry and instal than other bigger speakers this is it absolutly

Summary: I love these speakers, I have had two sets for several years. Very nice, portable sound. We always take a set with us when we leave town, whether by plane, auto or motorcycle. When not on the road, one is in the kitchen and the other in the bedroom. I need to mention, though, that after just keeping them plugged mostly continuously for a couple years, the battery operation no longer functions on either. If either ever quits working completely, I'd buy another and run it like my iPod (make sure to run the batteries down completely once a week or so). Or, I may elect to spend the extra $50 for the Logitech MM50. Another note of clarification, it IS usable with ALL iPods (I have a 1st Gen iPod that plugs in via the Aux jack), it will only charge dockable iPods.

Summary: I was going to buy the plug in to simply charge my iPod, not wanting to boot the computer each time to charge it, AND I was looking a good set of small but not cheap speakers. This was an all in one solution. Found it at Costco for a great price.

Summary: I use the speakers daily at work. The sound is awesome in my workspace. One of the most attractive features is that I can enjoy my iPod at work without connecting it to the computer. iTunes is a powerful program that can slow down other programs needed for work, no matter how sophisticated a system you work on. I also like that it charges while playing and is ready for me to enjoy during my commute home. This one is definitely a keeper!

Summary: First off i dont not own these speakers anymore. I recently sold them to rasie money for my new purchase, a black ipod nano. I did have a silver ipod mini which worked perfectly with these speakers. I was unaware about buying a spereate piece for the mini to work but i never had a problem it fit and worked fine.

Summary: Well I got this thing mostly because it fits nice on my desk and charges the iPod. I wasnt expecting any major sound from it looking at the little package. It turned out to be a really incredible sound from such a little thing. Youre not going to rock the outdoor party with it but in an office or room you will be pleasantly surprised. I also have the IM7 which is awesome for when you need a lot more sound but its huge. This thing is the ultimate one room speaker for the iPod. It also has a port in the back for syncing but I havent used that.
