The good: The Audyssey Media Speakers have an attractive, compact design, and offer good sound with lots of bass. They're also one of the few powered stereo speakers to have an optical digital connection (for Apple TV or the PS3, for instance) in addition to an analog input.
The bad: The speakers don't play terribly loud and they overemphasize detail. There's no remote, and no way to toggle between inputs.
The bottom line: While we didn't like their sound as much as the Audioengine 2s', the Audyssey Media Speakers are an attractively designed set of powered multimedia speakers that offer good sound and the added bonus of a digital optical input.
Pros: For an upgrade from the built in speakers on my iMac they are great. While the sound is somewhat lacking I was able to play them while walking on the treadmill and could hear them over the machines noise from 15ft away. I normally wear head phones.
Cons: Its bothers me that they have an auto turn off feature when not in use but don't auto turn on when a signal is sent. You have to manually turn them on.

Summary: These speakers look great and sound better than the computer speakers I was using. They lack the punch to replace a good book shelf speaker but would fill a small home office with plenty of sound. I got mine off Woot! for less than 100 dollars with shipping and this makes them a good value. However, had I paid the original retail price I would be disappointed.
Cons: Sound, as reviewed, is wayyy too low. Cannot pay bass at volume without warbling and flutter - try any Amos Lee. Took mine back to the Apple Store - cannot imagine why they sell for $200.
