- Bottom Line:
- The iPhone 3G delivers on its promises by adding critical features and sharper call quality. The iTunes App Store is pretty amazing, and the 3G support is more than welcome. Critical features still are missing, and the battery depletes quickly under heavy use, but the iPhone 3G is a big improvement over the original model.

The good: The Apple iPhone 3G offers critical new features including support for high-speed 3G networks, third-party applications, and expanded e-mail. Its call quality is improved and it continues to deliver an excellent music and video experience.
The bad: The iPhone 3G continues to lack some basic features that are available on even the simplest cell phone. Battery life was uneven, and the 3G connection tended to be shaky. Also, the e-mail syncing is not without its faults.
The bottom line: The iPhone 3G delivers on its promises by adding critical features and sharper call quality. The iTunes App Store is pretty amazing, and the 3G support is more than welcome. Critical features still are missing, and the battery depletes quickly under heavy use, but the iPhone 3G is a big improvement over the original model.

Weak Reception equals bad phone

Summary: Apple and AT&T would do well to remember it is a phone first. I live in rural New England and the poor reception of the current model has me looking for a new carrier. I like the iPhone because of its' features but the large number of dropped calls and spotty reception has me frustrated and looking for another phone and carrier. Why couldn't they add multimedia send and receive pictures? That stupid link to viewmypictures does not work most of the time, so it is a waste. I won't get into my issues with itunes. My contract is up soon, if the new iPhone is not a grand slam it will be hello Verizon for me.

apple's second epic FAIL

Summary: i'm sure all the hipsters who think apple is the above-all, end-all solution to everyone's electronic needs will be besides themselves... however, to those who actually use the features on their phones, this one is terribly lacking. we also have yet to see how seamless the integration of the 3gPhone's push services will be.
i've been using a GSM version of the HTC Touch since it was first released in europe and i'm very content w/ it. With apple's new addition, i'm reassured that my next phone will either be the touch pro or diamond (depending on availability in USA... damn you 850mmhz!)0 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: In the philippines where majority are poor and cannot afford luxury items they tend to prefer clones that are well executed, in this case by the chinese producers. So Apple iphones will surely gather dust. people here are accustomed to low cost texting, videoing loved ones to send to another family member abroad, and wants their young school children to have educational aids thats affordable and a hundred dollar iphone clone is their best alternative, believe me!
