The good: Boasting a sleek and sexy design, the RIM BlackBerry 8800 offers integrated GPS, push-to-talk capabilities, and multimedia features. The quadband smart phone also has Bluetooth, push e-mail, a full QWERTY keyboard, and long talk-time battery life.
The bad: Unfortunately, the BlackBerry 8800 doesn't work on Cingular's 3G network nor does it have integrated Wi-Fi. Call quality was a little muffled, and the phone is quite wide and awkward to hold. The media player could also use some refinements, and instant messaging is limited to the BlackBerry Messenger client.
The bottom line: Despite some minor issues, the RIM BlackBerry 8800 offers mobile professionals a well-rounded smart phone with added multimedia functions, GPS, and push-to-talk capabilities. That said, messaging remains its forte.

Summary: I am a big fan of blackberry devices. Currently I have the Blackberry 8700c and I love it (probably more than my wife). However I can’t say the same for the new 8800.
The pros: Still has the traditional and reliable email services You can dial numbers in any format straight from test message, email, etc. Slimmer, sleeker, and smaller
The cons: The 8800 is missing a lot of features. Mostly multi media. I understand that this is primarily a business phone I still think that its missing a Camera, video recording, an upgrade to a better browser and it needs way better video playback software.
Ok so why doesn't the 8800 have a camera? or video recording? Those are the big questions. I don't understand how you can have all these features (including picture messaging) and just not have a camera function on the phone. Cameras and video recording device are excellent and are not only used for leisure time. They can be used for legal matters, criminal investigations, and most all business affairs. Camera phones are the wave of the future (well actually we’re passed that wave already because there are tons of camera phones out there). A camera is necessary in many situations especially in New York City where you can send a picture to the "911 emergency services" department if you see something happening. With a camera added the Blackberry 8800 would be even closer to being a one stop shop, inspector gadget, double O – 7 phone.
Oh and also the web browser. Before I go I must express my disappointment. With so much competition out there you would think that RIM Blackberry company would try to do better. It’s like they just threw this phone (Blackberry 8800) together and said the hell with it. The web browser is so last year. You don’t even have the wide view feature where you can view the entire website in whole or zoom in and the see the website in part.
Well ok I’m done bashing Blackberry. I hope they step it up on their next phone. I wonder when that’s going to come out?

Summary: a nicer looking, thinner phone but for $300 i should get a camera, be able to edit documents and have a touchscreen. Also, should be 3G capable. Would be a better value if sold for the price of the Pearl but still should have a camera(optional).
